    Very niche complaint but one of the umpires was not throwing the ball up high enough at centre bounce. This was a big problem for Edwards and SDK. They did not even have time to get to the ball. Did anyone else notice this?

    I’d try Atkins back in the back pocket and get Worpel back in the middle. Bruhn will also be dropped for Bowes I would imagine.

    Blues were excellent at stoppage and deserved the win. Geelong’s weakness is when those classy midfielders get on the move. Thought Walsh was quite outstanding.

    I like Edwards, but Grundy is a bad match for him at boundary throw ins and around the ground ball ups, particularly in defensive 50. Just too strong and experienced.

    Blicavs will need to ruck around the ground a lot, but I get the feeling they are holding that back as much as possible for September. Grundy will destroy Edwards around the ground, but Edwards will jump all over him at centre bounce.

    Good post, the only I would say is the teams that have had success recently at Geelong, the Lions and the Giants, are the teams brave enough to take on the corridor and smash through Geelong press. So I think the Swans, should and will play their aggressive style. Geelong will be waiting for...

    I’d probably go Mullin on Neale. Curb him at stoppage and run hard the other way. He is not going to hurt you in transition like Ashcroft and Mcluggage would. A more offensive game for Oisin this week, see how he goes.

    I wonder if Worpel going out as was more a result of a few poor games from Bruhn than Worpel himself. One too many in that mix, hope Bruhn finds his form again this week.
