    It would be Disappointing and very unlikely. Maybe if we were at absolute full health he could be tight but how often does that happen? And that is not even allowing for his likely improved position in the squad after preseason.

    The same people who say Geelong have a terrible list demographic and are about to fall out of contention are often the same people who think we must be cheating to keep this list together. The intellectual disconnect to hold both of these competing positions is quite something.

    For Dempsey to progress, he needs to play in the middle or at high half forward. Not many of the elite players in the comp play on the wing. Whether he can do that remains to be seen.

    Stevens going would disappoint me personally. But I understand the importance the club place on athleticism and power, and if we win tomorrow, that will be the key takeaway/attribute others will be looking to emulate.
