    3rd Ashes Test England v Australia July 6-10 1930hrs @ Headingley

How about this stat. The average overall batting partnerships for the series thus far is 22 runs. Accordingly Australia should win by 30 runs....;)

Oh FFS, can you believe this, Moeen Ali with a hat-trick and Australia yet to score a run today...!!!

Fair enough, but consider - it's been revealed this pitch has not been prepared as is traditional for this venue, which is becoming evident with the increasing amount of inconsistent bounce we saw yesterday and how often does a 6 for 20 collapse occur twice in the same test..?

Skimming over the past 10 or so pages I have not seen one comment even suggesting Australia can/perhaps will bowl out England cheaply during their 2nd dig, not one..? I could be wrong, but it appears most have been seduced by the commentary box cheerleaders suggesting the hosts will simply chase...

While England may 'back themselves to chase down 350 runs', they did struggle to reach 200 in their first dig so I'm not so sure they'll do much better in their second, unless of course the pitch suddenly becomes a road offering an extra 150 runs...? Accordingly I reckon anything around 250...

Each to their own, but I prefer to watch live cricket than rain falling...

So you'd prefer a wash-out than Australia having the opportunity to win this test/the series/the Ashes....

Kudos to commentators who are cleverly avoiding discussing the fact Australia are currently 'leading' the test match batting under sunny skies on an increasingly flatter pitch - after England chose to bowl first and then failed to surpass Australia's modest 1st innings total.....

I'm actually looking forwrd to watching the replay of England's embarrassing all out for 67 in their first innings here in 2019.....o_O

I'm easily one of the more positive/optimistic posters in here - but unless England are 6 or worse down by lunch, with the sun blazing away, the green tinge dissappearing/pitch flattening out on a small fast ground it will require a speical effort for Australia to prevent England from achieving...

    3rd Ashes Test England v Australia July 6-10 1930hrs @ Headingley

Sure, a lot of cricket to play here - and if the anyone in the commentary box threatned to even sound a little impartial someone would of mentioned in context that England's 1st innings here in 2019 amounted to a paltry total of 67 runs...!!!!

Concur, or at least still be batting at stumps - because on this quick relatively flat deck in the middle of a postage stamp size ground the hosts could score 500 here tomorrow...!

Perhaps, given the ball doing very little in the air or off the deck thus far and to quote AW Greig; gee this pitch looks very 'hord and forst'...

Beg to differ, very bold inserting Australia again as I reckon this looks a decent surface to bat on, sure there is a bit of green tinge but if Australia can get to lunch only 1 or 2 down then it coud easily be another 400 plus on the cards here....;)

Thing is Gough, Mr Morgan is no really different than most of the other media monkeys - topics are mainly irrelevant given they are simply employed to promote controversy and outrage....
