I agree, not a fan of the 50 year MCG Grand Final contract. WA sides should play at Optus, NSW side at Homebush and the other interstate sides should be able to choose either the MCG or Optus as well as Adelaide Oval or SCG once upgraded over 60,000.
I feel for the North Melbourne fans, but I'm glad for the league fairness that this turned into a bloodbath and hopefully next week is the same. North's board should not be selling games and the AFL should not be allowing them to sell games to Western Australia full stop.

Something has to be done after West Coast, Essendon and Richmond; being forced to play underdone (no run through twos) and development players just to field...
Both Hynes and Dolan have actually elevated their game significantly at AFL level this season at almost double the output.
Freijah is pretty much on par from his output last year and West looked to be just lacking form and hopefully turned a corner against Freo.
For sure Davidson is not...
I was actually thinking last year's game was the Cats, but alas it was Hawks. That actually makes me more comfortable with our current predicament knowing that nothing short of a close to healthy best 23 full team defence keeps us competitive against the best sides.
Not saying Gardner is going to be AA Fullback, but his only game last year and first this year were against top 2 offence juggernauts. Poor bloke will probably play against Freo as well then get dropped for Port and Carlton.
Absolutely nothing if it is not played at 100%, just look at the issues with NBA All-Star weekend. They have tied themselves in knots trying to get around the lack of player competitiveness.
Disappointing if that's the case because some of the great players will never play in a GF or even PF...
He's played a lot of finals (12) and has the 6th best equal player rating of the last 10 years. His final performances are by no means a blemish on his stature in the game.
For the record I believe he right now sits within a pack of players who are potential AFL Legends albeit Club Legends...
Another All-Australian year off 18 games, 2nd greatest Bulldog in the 150th year voting, four-year contract extension, opened a milk bar. He's doing ok I reckon.
Not much, looks like the Saints are heavily into him. Great kick, strong body, hard-nosed, I would be flabbergasted if he is not on an AFL list in 2026. If no one has bid on him previously, does that make him eligible for the Saints to still take him under Father and Son?
