    Gee it’s hard watching Ginnivan and Ollie Henry kicking bags of goals for other clubs. Throw in Stephenson and that’s a hell of a lot of draft capital that was initially successful invested and yet still managed to go out the door for virtually nothing in return. Just rotten luck, I guess.

    I thought Frampton was really good, constantly under siege. And Steene built on last week’s break-out performance. In fact, our talls, surprisingly, were not too bad. But our mids and small forwards were collectively dreadful.

    Why would Butters (or Ben King) come to us? Hawks, Dogs, Cats and even Dees and Saints look far more likely for regular Finals participation than we do.

    The cliff isn’t coming. We’ve already gone over it. We are no chance of competing with likes of Bris, GC, Dogs, etc who are overflowing with young talent. I am grateful for 2023 but it’s going to be a while until the next one.

    Player Watch Jack Buller

    To my eye, Buller is low on natural forward instincts and X-factor but high on commitment and physicality. I doubt Buller makes it as an AFL key forward but he seems a strong candidate to be turned into a key defender, playing a clearly-defined role in our well-structured backline system.
