Yeah, he went from .com to .org and on the latter address, everything is there from the Eastern, Yarra Valley and Northern leagues, so I got to find what I was looking for.
14 at the very minimum (and hope for no injuries or else it gets abandoned when one player comes off).
Unless the numbers were diabolical, they could have tried to muster up 22 for the seniors and can the ressies.
Nasty things these 'travel bugs', just as bad as a 24-hour flu.
No, someone set it up themselves with ladders and premiers for the EDFL, CTGFL, SESFL and a couple of others going way back.
I couldn't even guess what the name of the website might be.
My mind has gone blank - what is the website that has all the old ladders from the EDFL days?
From memory it has a few other leagues as well but I don't have a clue what it is called.
Can anyone help?
If the forfeits are true, then they would get half of the fine, which is more for an away game than if you forfeit a home game. For the away team forfeiting, it is $800 for a senior match and $600 for a reserves match (when the home team forfeits, it is $500 and $400 respectively which all goes...
Don't worry, Jethro old mate.
You can beat them on your own in the old VD stakes. We hear enough about Glenrowan alone without adding your ponderings on Rovers or the other clubs into the equation.
I agree, Trent the flight Steward.
Realistically, the LVFNL won't be around in five years so those clubs should all be future planning now, whether it be as part of a merger or else moving leagues. Clubs should be making sure that going forwards, their heritage continues on instead of them...
I'm more leaning towards a Central Victoria FNL, with a 10-team Division 1 with the remaining clubs from the leagues in the region allocated to a regional division below it designated as North/South or West/Central/East,
e.g. Div 1, Div 2 North & South, Div 3 North & South, etc.
As someone who followed Templestowe when they were in the DVFL and EDFL/EFL, I cannot see them wanting to go back there, even now.
Some of those would be forced movements from all they have known (e.g. Warrandyte, Lilydale), so I could only see that happening if the moves were forced by AFLV...
A lot of scuttlebutt on the Southern threads that they are headed that way, making it seem like it's definitely going to happen.
The league better not lose the transfer request when it arrives like they did with Kinglake and then say they never got it 😂
My belief is that if a player gets put into a 21 day scenario and another player is found guilty of causing it then the penalty handed out by a tribunal or a league should be a minimum of three matches (or a minimum of 21 days).
We could always have a Southern league and a South East league ... unfortunately, we have been down that path before. I thought the SWGFL worked well but then seemed to lose its way when it came under the MPNFL structure in the mid 1990s. When it broke away and became the SEFNL, some clubs were...
