List Mgmt. 2025 List Management Discussion - Part 3

What have I missed? What "would be the biggest trade bombshell this year" ?

List Mgmt. 2025 List Management Discussion - Part 3

Everyone agrees we need to improve our list to become a contender. Particularly as Collingwood has shown, it takes a full squad, not just best 23, to be a contender. I assume most people agree after several years of mostly going to the draft, that the best way to get a better squad for 2026 is...

List Mgmt. 2025 List Management Discussion - Part 3

I heard Tom Morris this morning on SEN say we're not doing exit meetings, didn't know why, just said Ross doesn't do them. Adam Cooney suggested if the players are being given feedback throughout the year, then there's no need for them.

List Mgmt. 2025 List Management discussion - part 2

I'm loving having a forward line with King, Owens, Sharman, Roma and TDK rotating through - finally we'll be creating nightmares for opposition backlines

List Mgmt. 2025 List Management discussion - part 2

This is spot on. Especially as it appears the plan in the Footy dept was to first get Nas' body right to play more midfield time (RTB spoke at a presser earlier that his groins needed work). So his opportunity to shine like he has in the midfield was always going to be later in the season. I...

List Mgmt. 2025 List Management discussion

For what it's worth, was just reminded that if you're a star player who is undecided (or unannounced) about your contract at this time of year, that doesn't necessarily mean you're on the way out - with Nas it's supposedly his agent dragging things along - with Dusty who signed on August 31...

Autopsy Saints forget how to kick a ball and lose to Hawthorn.

Agreed, I know you weren't implying negligence, just wanted to address the vibe I get from some other comments. As for the process. At each stage they would have had a set of clinical findings (eg where is the pain, when does it occur, manual joint tests, radiology etc) And based on those...

I trust that under Dave Misson, particularly as an ex-physio himself, that we have best practice sports medicine at St Kilda. That doesn't mean we always get it right. If you have, for example, a 2% failure rate - but it only affects your no. 43 and 44 player on the list, then no one talks...

Actually, according to RTB, he's done his plantaris muscle. This is a very small muscle in the calf region. It is so useless, 10% of people don't even have one. And surgeons can cut out the tendon part and use it in tendon replacement surgery in other parts of the body (eg hand). So there...

Agree with all this, except I think Trav replaces Boxshall in the 22, so with Gus replacing Stocker, that leaves Collard as the sub again

    Injury Our Injury List

This is spot on. I haven't done the stats, but I'd estimate that 90+ % of injury timelines are accurate for our players. The rest are just the normal variations of the human body working in high performance. We notice these variations less for low profile players. Max understandably gets a lot...

I'm thinking Hall, Keeler and Boyd (we need 3 tall forwards, so Ro mainly plays as tall forward, with Boyd in the ruck). And then either Boxshall or Jones as sub - would love Boxshall, but think due to so many young players including debutants in the team, they'll go with Jones

Ross has never been worried too much by height differences (go back to Gwilt as 3rd tall defender) because we play a team defence and rely on defenders to intercept. I agree with these match ups, except for Fogarty, where I reckon Stocker is more likely, because he has the body size (weight) and...

I like this, except we always have a 7th defender, and tthat has to be Stocker, with his big body and leadership. And I don’t like Caminiti as 2nd ruck against Thilthoror, I think Boyd plays instead of Keeler and Ro splits more on field time as a forward.

Wouldn't mind a cyclone due to hit Adelaide around March 16
