    Can't understand the game odds. Finals are won and lost in the midfield. Adelaide have 2 midfielders in the All Australian team, Hawthorn have none. Adelaide have the ruck who is widely regarded as the best in the league and who should have been AA, neither of Hawthorn's rucks made the 40 man squad.

    Have to agree with the OP. Would also prefer to see the old split round (4 games one week, 5 the next) used for byes. Particularly if there are two byes each next season. It would lead to less weeks that are affected.

    Re: Hawks vs Pies - Preliminary Final - Changes & Discussion Cheney probably was unlucky, a product of having depth. I have never seen him play a 'lock down' role that Tom plays. It is horse for courses. Cheney is really fighting Guerra or Suckling for a spot.

    This thread is silly. All year we have talked about it being a race in two between the Pies and Cats. Exactly what has changed? Nothing.

    To be honest it isn't raining yet. Strong breeze from the East (normally goes the other way), freezing cold but how much rain comes over is unknown. Quite often the Easterly rain will drop around Ben Lomond and miss Launceston. We may not get much rain at all....
