    Michael Gardiner

Everytime i see that it looks more like a free kick to Samps:thumbsu:. He is fair dinkum getting tackled in mid-air. Well done to Gardy, very good to see him turn his life around off the field, and now on it.

    Josh Hill man crush imminent

Comes from a forever growing footballing family; Josh Hill, Stephen Hill, Ashley Sampi Kevin and Matt Hill were pretty decent WAFL and SANFL players too. Lets hope he continues to work hard and reaches the great heights his cousin Ashley should have.

I dont want anything more, I just thought it to be poor form to say the hawks lost it and were not outplayed. You can use stats to prove any argument but watching the game live you felt the eagles were going to win from very early as they adjusted to the conditions alot better.

I agree with most of what your saying as a premiership then a bad year is better than no premiership at all. FWIW, Hawthorn were ahead of schedule last year and it was always a possibility that they would decline a bit this year coupled with their injuries. But one thing I would say is dont...

    Nicholas Naitanui

Other than all his obvious positives from his 2 games, it was his agression tonight in which i really liked. He seems to like physical contact. FWIW nice moment with Browny after the match and Hodge late in the 4th qtr.

    Nick 'Buddy' Natanui

Raw....... So very Raw...... This might sound bias, but he is the most exciting talent ever seen IMO. In 2 games we have seen; The Speccy Mark Deft Tapwork Great closing speed Great tackling Unbelievable agility below his knees for his size Evasive skills Goal sense I think we...

    Stephen Hill

:thumbsu: I mentioned on this thread, or another Hill one, that I wouldve been happy for the eagles take him ahead of NicNat. I was actually annoyed he played so well in championships, as I thought he might have slipped to late teens and we couldve taken him, but have always rated him in the...

Wayne Carey Compared to Nick Riewoldt & Jonathan Brown

Not that I think Hall is better than any of the above, but the thing is with Hall playing the bulk of his games at the SCG you cannot classify him as a true CHF as they are basically non existent on the smaller ground and essentially become a FF. Great

Commentators - Bigger than the game???

Good post:thumbsu: When Cometti worries about calling the game and not fitting in his rehearsed "one liners" he is , by the length of flemington straight, the best play by play caller in the game. He shows his great value when a game has a really hectic period, he manages to keep his flow...

Daniel Kerr utters the word "f*ckwit"??

I saw this and I actually thought he said - "F**ked Rib/s" as if someone asked him why he looked sore. He was also feeling around his ribs at the time.

    Naitanui to Debut

He started playing at 11 or 12. He has been through the complete development program at Swan Districts and most of the underage State sides. Yes he has a lot to learn about the game, but it is overstated IMO. FWIW - Grew up in the same street as Yarran from Carlton and Walters from Freo.
