    Opening round is dumb, but they're still playing for premiership points. I reckon if people are so outraged by this they should just find something else to do with their time in the winter months.

    People losing their minds because the word wildcard has been used and it's seen as "American". It's just an extra week of finals. If people are so opposed to the game representing anything American then get rid of finals all together and just award the premiership to the minor premier.
