Maybe he can take Byrne's spot in the back half? Solid, mature-body and was looking very good before his long lay-off! Could be a real "Where did this bloke come from?" type! Byrne ready to move to midfield duties!

Didn't that happen before Saturday's match or did I go back in a time-loop to about five days ago? :huh:

Hard to believe Carlton left Gussy go without giving him a go run in the firsts in his normal position...in what was largely an experimental year for the club....interesting that he holds no grudges....good article that show Gussy in his true light....what a gentleman...and loss for Carlton

Cork's Ciarán Sheehan has been forced to call time on his inter-county football career due to a knee injury, the Irish Examiner reports.

An All-Ireland winner with the Rebels in 2010, the 30-year-old has been plagued by knee cartilage injuries and has been advised by medics to step back from top-level football.
