Were you expecting him to look Fyfe like a little over a year since he got drafted? He looks taller, bigger through the legs, bigger through the arms, and now looks like an AFL footballer, not a kid who is playing with grown ups (go check out the pics when we drafted him). The haircut does kind of help as well :)

he needs to go on the Fyfe "two protein shakes a day" (lol) diet he went on in the 2013 preseason.

I have seen a few comments about the size of players such as Cerra. In my look at training on Monday it was very noticeable that the team has very few skinny kids and that several second year players (one spectator described one as a flat slob last preseason) have lost a lot of puppy fat.

The team and the strength and conditioning guys have done a good job over the pre-season and there is only a couple of players you would be concerned about being snapped in the big league.

I’ve been attending the last couple of weeks of training and there is definitely more comradery around the track than last year. You can thank Peter Bell for that. It’s no hidden secret the distance between Fyfe and the group and I think Belly has definitely worked on that with his leadership experience. Brisbane Lions players set themselves a target of making the finals this year after only winning 5 in 2018. Surely Freo, a club that has added some ready made players to the list and with consecutive 8 win seasons should be talking up finals. Not only for their belief, but for the supporters as well.
