That means they either haven't bought in or aren't prepared to pay the price for ultimate success.
I also reject this notion Human Person ( if you really are one that is )Kinda hard on Ross there. I’d say when fit he’s easily a walk up start.

Will depend on the preferred set up obviously, but it's a tough one for sure.I think for Marshall to play he has to beat out either paddy or Bruce.
We obviously don’t think we need him down back as even with the wounded back there he’s training with the forwards
I’m torn - with Bruce and membrey we have two elite runners when it comes to key forwards. If we select Marshall who in my mind is a good runner from his games last year (why do I have a feeling someone said he was near the back in the 2k) we’d have the opportunity to have a highly aerobic front 6 out there (Gresham in the mids). That could be something to challenge defences - potential differentiation from the norm.
On the flip side paddy has greater potential to take those pack marks and generally use his greater game sense - romo is very raw - a greater chance to become elite individually....

Collingwood didnt waste 90% of their picks prior to 2011 and their current "premiership" team is propped up by old players. Our issue isnt some magic ability others have that we dont, its that damage that was done to our top end players last decade. Our list was stupidly young for a reason (and is still somewhat). Its why I am in no way worried about where we stand.I was thinking about this today when I heard Cloke on the radio. Collingwood beat us in 2010 and have since built to a point of playing in another GF. We in the same period seem to have been trying to win to stem the bleeding without developing a longer term strategy and ended up bottom 4. I really hope we are looking at building a premiership side now not just trying to get back to a 10 win 9th place season.
Thank you Cho. May I please have another...I enjoy a good flogging!

That will depend sadly. Here's hoping the lesson has been learnt
CampaignerSo anyway, what's Kentie's nickname going to be?![]()

Lazy as **** IMHOI have no idea what actually happened - and now live in Sydney so haven’t seen any live activity since last season - BUT what I have read on the forums - is that some blokes came back underdone from the off season - got a bake and then were actually motivated to ‘buy in’ by the new coaching group - they then maintained the enthusiasm through the Christmas off period and came back pretty good in 2019. - so no issue with the clubs pre Christmas message from what I can gather - and I would say - as has been stated on the forums - an understandable Sept/oct 2018 for young guys given where the club was at when they went on break - when they got back from that break the club had made some positive changes which the guys got on board with - so I don’t really see what your complaining about now that’s it’s Feb 2019 and the turn around in attitudes is reportedly very evident
Ease up.Lazy as **** IMHO
The players knew who the new coaching staff would be because the changes were all announced even before the 2018 season ended.
Just a shit attitude & pathetic that they had to cop a bake to get their shit together. However, it appeared to be a very good wake up call & the players have gone above & beyond over Xmas break into 2019, so here’s hoping it bodes well for the season ahead
It sounds like it was the 2nd-4th year group who came back underdone pre-chirstmas since the 5th years who returned with them (Sinclair, DMac, Paddy Steele) were all visually in fantastic shape and running great times.Lazy as **** IMHO

Maybe our senior guys could have buddied up as training partners to the youngsters who live locally to them - it seems to have happened that way with othersLazy as **** IMHO

Shirley that wasn't for real? Was it?That age group returning underdone also correlates with the speculation at the time regarding White being lapped in the time trial.
Disappointing but probably shows why he isn't being selected.

I have categorically never been hard on Ross!
Touche!I'm as much of a human and a person as you are mighty and a Malaka.
And his Trevor Barker winning year didn't even elicit a semi?

Sebs ears are too short, that's why...Touche!
You would think a b & f would elicit a semi at the very least wouldn't you?
It would help if he didn't move like a crab!
Brings back sad memories!![]()
I dont know if round 1 will be THAT much of an issue with Gold Cost not exactly having a stellar forward line up. They may try Peter Wright or even Ben King up forward to try and stretch us though..I've got a question about something that another poster mentioned about a week ago.
What is our initial backline going to be, bearing in mind that Brown will be serving one or two weeks suspension from 2018 and Austin and Carlisle are working their way back from injury? Who plays Brown's role; will it be Wilkie, Clav, Joyce, or other?
By what I have seen on here , Joyce looks in great condition and Battle is being tried out in the backline.I've got a question about something that another poster mentioned about a week ago.
