Richmong flogs seem to be the worst and potentially still offended from the penetration we gave them in the 2001 prelim
Not really. We just tick the Brisbane game as a win at the start of the season and love it when the AFL fixture a return match. Richmond v Brisbane so far this decade ...

Sorry to the following guppies but please get back in your box:

1) richmond
2) collingwood
3) geelong

Seen just about enough of these flogs talking about their dynasty’s and melting when they don’t get respected alongside the best sides.

As far as multiple premierships go b2b is by far the easiest way to achieve them. This is because lists expire and go out of form. What's statistically rarer than 3peats this century is staying good for more than 3 years in general. Most of them can't even do that let alone 3in5. 3peats are extremely hard but they're also the easiest way to achieve 3 flags. 3 year windows are extremely common and winning 3 flags is simply capitalizing perfectly in your window. Which is still an incredible achievement.

The fact is Geelong, Hawthorn and Brisbane all won 3 flags over 5 years and lost 2 Grand Finals each. That's why b2b is a fallacy. The only difference is the b2b clubs could only maintain their dominance for a couple years at best.

Going to have to put this down as a teary. No B2B no greatness

Brisbane still lost 1999/2000 and 2004-2005. B2B represents nothing more than making hay while the sun shines. The sun always shines at Geelong

Not exactly a mathematician eh?

It doesn't work like that. Hawthorn won their 3 then had 2 years of nothing. It's 3in3 years not 5 and it's technically 3 years of success coupled with 4 years of nothing. Not a 3in5. The only way you could possibly argue sustained success over 5 years is if they won a premiership in the 6th year and even that would be controversial as it would be 3in6 with 3 gap years (which many clubs have done throughout history). The only other club to 3in5 in the history of the game was Carltons 68-72 era.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news here but beating the colliwobbles in back-to-back GF's doesn't count

We did it the hard way beating three Melbourne teams at their home ground whereas hawks should have been away to dockers, swans and eagles and would have been a different result
