That's what we are lacking atm, some speed up forward to score a few more grandma goals as I like to call them, we also need a bit more speed down back to stop so many being scored against us.

Been a big thing for the women's team, getting in the two rugby 7s girls who can get 10m clear easily, you don't need high skills level when you are standing alone.
Think your spot on we lack speed forward and back at ground level.
The fact that were trialling Ed as a forward at times pretty much sums up the problem in the fwd line .
And tbh the backline has looked slow for 2 years mainly due to injury .

A lot to like I thought. Few things stood out
- Hugely impressed with Cuningham's first half. Faded a little after that but looks more at home than I've ever seen him. Hope he keeps it up
- Walsh looked a little rushed for mine early (first game, fair enough) but settled into it and ended up very impressive. Crippa would love him already
- Setterfield has "it". Rusty, but it's there.
- Newman nearly made me forget we have an AA HBF on the sidelines. Fantastic tonight
- Big H's hands. Magnificent

Frustrated that we started so poorly and ended up falling away but enough was there to encourage. Biggest negative was Charlie's horror show, easily WOG. Wasn't too impressed with Garlett in defence either.

Onto next week :)

Putrid game. Did we spend the preseason training or down the pub puffing on winnie blues? My great aunt has metal in her knee and has more stamina and moves with more vigour than some of our players tonight.
Really perthblue...go ahead and name them then, I'm sure we'd all love to hear your well researched analysis.

Forget about him for this year and possibly for ever
Wash your mouth out.

Fingers in my ears. I'm not listening. I just have to believe he is going to make it back.

Should also add a column for pre seasons.

Would be even more damning.

As in how many preseasons the players have been fit for? That'd be a massacre.

Just can't understand why Harry is required in centre bounces. Let him take the boundary throw in only in the forward 50

Alot of costly mistakes. These stupid kicks while being tackled continually result.in turnovers and tonight they cost us 3 or 4 goals.

2nd and 3rd qtrs were better but disappointing overall

Attention being placed on young Fisher. I honestly think people must be confusing him with someone else - he was excellent.

Pinged for holding the ball 3 or 4 times. A few times he should have taken the ball over the line for a reset in play and didn’t. Cost is goals. and about 10 of his 14 kicks were those dinky thing last where he picks it up then toe pokes it to a Richmond player also resulting in goals. Was average tonight.

A fit Kreuzer and we essentially win that match. Desperately need the big man back.

Despite his tackle numbers being high (a product of being led to the ball by Nankervis), Phillips was dismantled, and it made the midfield's job extremely difficult. Nankervis was in and under assisting his inside mids frequently.

But stoked that we got through relatively unscathed and can get the list stronger with each coming week.

Positives - Walsh, setters, fish, Dow and Cuningham over 20 possessions. Wieters was massive.

Tardy start - 5 goals down by 1/4 time. Lose by 6.

Was hoping we’d be brave and take the game on in the last, but not to be. Tigers sucked the life out of first ten minutes of the last. Needed someone to take a chance and break it open.

Overall. 7.5 out of 10. Playing a really tough opponent.
