I hope we an exploit there pathetic effort from Last week.. Meaning I hope they are a little anxious about that performance.

Hopefully we’ll be so far ahead not to worry, but if not, if we can stay close to them most of the game their doubts will kick in.
This week we will be the hunter.

Would love him to play a negating role on Merrett, Shiel or Heppell. I think he can do it. Would be good against Shiel especially, rough him up a bit, show him why he should've come to us :moustache:
They are all mids. If geary goes in there and we know dunstan can’t play elsewhere then we not have some of our best mids in there for long periods. Can’t see how it happens. I’m going back pocket.

Really happy with the changes, Marshall for Pierce was a no brainer in the end, Brown adds a lot of experience and structure to our backline (Joyce is unlucky as I thought he played well, but 6 frees against is something he needs to work on). And Acres is Acres so I’m happy whenever he is in. I did say earlier in the week that I’d drop Long.

St Kilda and proud.

Actually my team is spot on except I dropped Sinclair instead of Joyce for Brown. Had Battle moving up forward.

I’m not convinced like other that long was dropped for discipline. I think it’s to make the forward line slightly taller. Expecting acres to play mostly there
I agree , I think we found ourselves in trouble a couple of times when Bruce or membrey worked up the ground, mainly because pierce didn’t offer much around the ground.

Acres new haircut clearly an announcement to the AFL world that he is ready for 2019.

At 23 now is the time to have a breakout year if he is going to be anything other than a GOP for us.

Our team is screaming out for someone to step up and take the game on. I really believe he has the ability even though he hasn’t shown it yet. More of a gut feel based on the glimpses.

Really happy with our ins. They all make us a stronger side than last week. Brown's experience and cool head will help us with the structuring down back. Marshall can't be worse than Pierce played. And GOAT gives us some height up forward and someone else through the midfield.

While it appears we have some extra tall backs, it's a great opportunity for Battle to play a bit looser. He is a good kick and an elite runner. We could see him up the ground a bit more helping connect the backline to the fwd line.

Probably too small to play on Heppell but he would be great on Shiel.

Fair changes. Honestly didn't think they'd drop Long, or Pierce for that matter, but good to see they're not shying away from making a change when it's called for. Should have much more pressure for spots this year.

George didn’t want to discuss it but if he goes in there which mid goes out.

We were rotating Lonie on the wing a bit last week, so keep him forward. Sinclair could spend more time forward. Plus Billings hardly spent time forward last week so could rest up there a bit.

Newnes could play off half back in replace of Geary as well. It would just mean rotating players through more positions than we are use to but it's only a good idea if Geary is actually shutting down one of their midfielders.
