you really have to see this guy live to appreciate his elite level of poverty

really average skills, takes an eternity to make yet another poor decision, pudding soft, unaccountable, even gws fans were yelling at him in frustration

And the best of the players around them were Sam Lloyd and Dan Butler (apols to Nathan Drummond but you have get on the park mate). You would hope than in any five year period you might get a couple of beauties. Vlossy and Macca were our best over that five year period 2010-14

Just ask Danger that in the QF, or the Giants key forward (cant remember his name) when he was was tough as nails and didn't take a side step at full pace in the third qtr. Commentator said " he took one for the team"

Noone is soft at this level, and I'd love the keyboard warriors to post their real name and invite Ellis for a bit of one-on-one down at the local park.

Exactly,

I have lost faith in Ellis, but I still don't think he is soft. He isn't, this is just people who want him as their whipping boy calling him every name under the sun. He hesitates with the ball and panics under pressure, but without the ball he is and can be as tough as nails.

So true. He's one of those players not blessed with time and space, that's why his best games are on the wing pushing forward.

Just like Dusty, no idea why he has gone backwards, After All he was runner up in our B&F in a finals year.

lmao, plenty are soft at this level. and if ellis wants to try and iron me joe citizen out down the park he can pm me. won’t make up for his short steps or soft attempts at the contest where it counts, or change my opinion ya keyboard dingbat.

Dusty "Went backwards" in 2018 because he had a near perfect year in 2017. If he got any better he would be at GOAT heights like Ablett, Carey etc. He is elite but not quite that.

Hard to judge on his this season form though, still early yet. All champs have down periods.

I would say the decision to play a contact sport at the highest level would make one person not soft.

Especially compared to someone watching and judging whilst scoffing down burgers and beer from the couch.
