Yes but wins are also needed. It's a results based business. There are implications left right and centre.
There are a lot of people that realize that the improvement is there and it is just a matter of time before the wins come. We deserved to win today we were massively unlucky. Without todays loss, we would be talking very differently.

You do realise that only two teams cracked the top this week? Not that you don’t have a point, it’s been a bloody long time.

What I was trying to point out is how far away we are and whether we would be better under a different coach. 100 points is becoming this mirage for Carlton.

The game plan / system doesn’t appear to be a sustainable winning model and to me, it looked for all money like the players don’t trust it and don’t believe in it, which is why I think they hesitate so often and move the ball so slowly at times. The backs are working well together which keeps us in the game, but we just can’t kick winning scores.

We only won 1 of out last 10 games in 2017 on top of last year and now zip-4. So 3 of the last 36 and our list has real quality now. There can be no excuses anymore. Something needs to give.

Disappointed at the loss today, but ...
totally devastated at what we have become.

3 out of 36?! Wow! That is unbelievably bad. Could quite easily get to 5 of 54 or something ridiculous, as well.

Testing times as a supporter.

Yeah wins aren't important.
Come on man, you don't think that sounds like total and utter BS?
Don't let wins and losses blur ones vision.
It's a results based business. We've waited so long. 35-3 is unacceptable in this caper.
We arent winning a premiership. And its not like we will fold. From what we were last year to this year, we are miles in front.

You keep hoping for wins this year and youll be very sour. The growth is there. Up to you how you see it. My view isnt bs btw. 35-3. So be it. Start doing the math from the start of next year and i think youll be very happy

The magnitude of the rebuild we embarked on and with the list we had, games and 35-3 was a necessary consequence. We are now at ground zero. And judge us in the next 35!

No such thing as deserve to win. If you are good enough you win.

The losses have been by smaller margins though. I agree there.

Haha. It's funny, I've heard that from a few different people "they are two years ahead of us". It's also funny that I didn't hear that once last year. They were just teams as shit as us. The bookies also had GC wayyyy shorter odds than us to finish last this year.

You can't just come up with statements that involve timelines and use hindsight to arrive at your conclusion...unless you can show me a post where you said the same thing last year, of course?

What are you talking about? I don’t have to come up with anything. Look at the age of their players who played today and look at ours. How old are you? If you’re 25+ think back to 18, 19 and 20 year old you. Then think back to 25 year old you. Who was stronger? I reckon 25 year old you beats the shit out if the other 3 versions, right?

We didn’t try to shop him, he was a Free Agent.

Sure, other clubs might not have wanted him, but we rightly kept him as a back up.

Levi is not the reason we lost today.

You are missing my point.

We went out and got McGovern to take Levi’s spot, and then we tried to shop Levi out (call it what you will, we offered him up to teams and no one wanted him)...

We didn’t play Levi for the first 2 games this year because we rightly classified him as ‘in case of emergency depth’

Last week we used him as depth when he replaced Charlie who was injured, and this week instead of Charlie reclaiming his spot from Levi, we restructured the team balance to let Levi keep his spot.

So how the **** does a depth player end up being made enough of a priority that we restructure the whole team balance just to keep him????

I'm sorry but that's complete garbage. I was watching with crew of fans from all allegiances and that game was an abomination. A win would have made very little difference to the tone of this discussion. Gold Coast played terribly, and we somehow out did them.

I'm hearing an emergency board meeting has been called tonight at CFC HQ.

I am not so sure it was . I dont think anyone had planned for this to occur.

We have become a much improved side on last year. Dont let wins and losses blur your vision.
On the contrary, I agree that we are an improved group but my obs watching live are that they should be far far better but hesitate to execute and it appears that they don’t believe the system they’re asked to follow. Hence why I think something needs to change because Bolton just can’t sustain losing much longer. Nor should we accept it.

A different coach? My mind has always been stay the course, don’t implode and react like we’ve done in the past. But a little voice is starting to whisper in my head and I’m trying to get rid of it. We need wins.

Not gonna bother blaming the umps. Some of the rubbish disposal out there cannot be pinned on the umps. Dow and LOB are just poor users. SENd them to the twos please. Charlie has drowned in his bath water and Murph is utterly poor.
And who the hell sent the memo out to repeatedly kick the ball to the small guy in our forward 50?
Other than that, cripps, writers and Jones the only ones to hold their heads up.
And walsh

Far far better? You do realise we had a percentage of 55 last year dont you? As in we were more than double most games.

What worried me was that when the game was up for grabs, we turned to this slow, chip around the boundary line style. I’m not a chicken little when it comes to Bolton but the questions are fair.

Dow...well, it couldn’t have gone much worse. But the kid is going to be good.

Did we now? Did SOS tell you this did he or is it just your thoughts?

Nah it’s just logic, you know that thing when you put 2 and 2 together and come up with the most reasonable answer.

You should try it sometimes, maybe put 2 and 2 together regarding whether it’s a lack of talent on the list or the abysmal coaching that is the reason for being the worst team in the league right now :?

Bolton is gone because we kicked it to Gibbons? Yeah right! I am sure that was not to instruction. thats down to the players and their poor decision/execution

Ok i’ll ask, why was Gibbons the only person isolated in the full forward line when we had 4, yes 4 KP forwards? If not coaching, did Gibbons give them the instruction to move out and leave the f50 for him? Not just one occasion either!
