In: Kruezer, JSOS, Kennedy
Out: Casboult, O’Brien, Lobbe

We need pace v western bulldogs. Let’s hope the side that showed up v GC (dogs team) tuns up and a carlton side turns up that can hit a target.

The one thing going for us is we have a model that’ll beat the dogs as proven by GC. They don’t have the talls to match us and their ruckman shouldn’t hurt us like others have. I think Casboult did a better job than Lobbe in the ruck. But we are too tall and Kruezer should be able to handle dogs ruck alone.

Newman had a much better game than Plowman yesterday. Plow made some atrocious decisions and doubled down by executing them poorly. Fortunately for him (and us) Weiters and Jones were able to mop up his mess.

We better not see more sh!tful decision making at selection again.

Just balance the side out and get some run back into the team FFS!

Out : O’Brien, CAS, Lobbe, setterfield, Gibbons
In : Garlett, Kruz, JSOS, Kennedy, Polson

Newman - Weitering- Plowman
Simpson - Jones - Marchbank
SPS - Kennedy - Walsh
Murphy- Cunrow - McGovern
Polson - McKay - Garlett
Kruz - Cripps - Dow
Thomas - JSOS - Ed - Fisher

Pace, Mobility, hunger, mongrel
Yada yada yada

I don’t care that polson is limited. What he does do is provide perceived pressure due to his pace. Garlett has the tricks and the pace and is a natural forward and goal kicker

Yes our half back line is stagnant and slow but trying to make a half forward into a half back isn’t going to make it any more fluid.....besides the back 6 is the least of our worries

Kennedy is a MUST to help Cripps and JSOS is too smart a footballer not be given and opportunity.

You look at that side on paper and it should be quick and fluent. Game plan and forward craft is what’s holding us back..........

Oh and ruckman who can follow up is probably worth 2 goals a game.......

Haven't watched yesterdays game so maybe a little unfair with ins and outs, but -

Kreuzer for Lobbe - No surprise, although Kreuzer wasn't exactly leaping to any heights yesterday. First game back from injury, so maybe be cautious.
Polson for Gibbons - Polson for all his faults, plays for the team.
Kennedy will come in you'd think, regardless whether Setterfield gets a week or not.
JSilvagni - Every chance after his effort yesterday.

If Cuningham is OK, Just bring in the speed.

Not sure if Dow's problem is a disposal issue or realising he has more time than what he thinks. You correct the first in the VFL and if the latter through continued repetition in the seniors. The only way I'm dropping him is if the medicos (Russell) is concerned of burn out.

disposal issue, shocking technique

If all are fit, id make these changes:

1. Kreuzer in for Lobbe
2. JSOS for Casboult
3. Cunningham for Gibbons

1. Even though I hate the idea of him getting injured, McKay to spell Kreuzer in the ruck (hopefully Kruez can go 85% in ruck)
2. As Charlie cant catch a cold when up the ground and if he does turning it over, play him deeper and just get him to concentrate on making a contest and try and mark a couple. We need him kicking goals not stuffing it up 100m from goal.
3. Gov to play that HF lead up role and the work back. That suits his gamestyle anyway I reckon.
4. Cuners to sit at the feet of Charlie and H - worked a treat in JLT
5. JSOS to play the medium/small role fwd and pinch hit the middle

In- Kruezer, Kennedy, JSOS, Cuningham (Polson if cuners not fit)
Out- Lobbe, Casboult, LOB, Gibbons

Reports on Lang playing well in the backline are heart warming. Need some good ball use coming out of the backline. Williamson can't get back fast enough either.

Backline was our most functional area though so no changes there.

Charlie out.
We need more run this week, dont even know why he was an automatic inclusion. Impacted on Harry's form, and unless he can start one grabbing he can go and get some form in the 2's.

Can someone pls explain to me why Gibbons doesn't get at least a few minutes on the ball after averaging 30 touches last year?? He only kicked 9 goal last year...why are we trying to make him something he isn't?? Everyone crying for Kennedy to get in for mid support and yet we won't even give another proven mid an opportunity...mind boggling

He's not good enough.
He did spend some time up the ground, but he's small, not quick, and burns the ball.

Who cares and who needs to be reminded about such anomalies?

As if a 'My Easter is better than your Easter' amounts to anything at all. Easter itself doesn't amount to anything, so who need the posturing?

Give it a rest Harks & get off those angry pills.

You have been at it for a few days.

Did you even read the post I was responding to .......

No I didn't think so!

Kennedy > Gibbons IMHO

Out - LOB, Lobbe, Casboult
In - Kreuzer, Kennedy, JSOS

LOB and Lobbe are no brainers for the outs... tough on Caboult as his big body and chop out for Kreuzer is really beneficial but with Dogs not having the best ruck brigade either at present, using Harry at times to cover in the ruck will be ok.

The 3 ins can all play in the guts and JSOS can switch as well with McGov forward and back if need be to help out.

I want to see Ed blanket Libba... and we MUST get our foward line working cohesively!

Gibbons stays in.. although no goals as yet he did create 2 goals from good passes yesterday and is starting to get hands on the ball (unlike Fasolo and Polson)..

Can't bring in Cunners until he gets a bit of touch I would think.

Dow survives, for his pace and hopefully he can break free again like he did a few times agains GC and this time make more of it.

And why I want JSOS.. he comes into games in the 3rd and 4th when things slow a bit and always makes good decisions.. his footy brain yesterday would of been really beneficial.
