I'm seriously thinking Sheed > perhaps Hopper THIS week. I want him gone.
Sheed had his 15 mins of fame and its now back to mediocrity where he belongs.

I look at Sheed in my midfield and i'm seeing this staring back...

She would've kicked the goal...

Absolutely !! .....that's my plan
Originally I thought it was a dumb idea but after thinking it through it makes the most sense

Bines ain't making money, he's a tactical donut

Balta could lose money, but he can also make money and score points if forward carnage occurs, really nothing to lose there, he will be traded for the best rookie available at the right time. Can also move Burgess forward for more forward depth for the moment if I take Hore also.

Setterfield can be loopholed from both the mids or forwards if I put him in midfield, but I'm leaning towards him being loopholed from midfield. Cousins is a risk here with Scott playing early and not keen on looping Scott and not knowing about Cousins' availability until Saturday, but Setterfield playing late at least allows for moves and forward loopholes if needed if late withdrawals come, Atkins would be safer onfield than Balta I guess

I will miss out on Stack doing this, but there's plenty of midfield rookies popping up, plus the Richmond forward rookies too

Greenwood is a gun, no idea why he hasn't been playing (injured?).

Adelaide have some really good fixtures coming up as well, I think ROB is a near must have rookie if Jacobs does have surgery. 135k and his bottom scores will be better than most rookies average, with the capacity to easily pull out a couple of 100's for cash gen.

The question is; has Butters peaked? If I was to trade ROB in, I would have to do it by getting some $$ back from the initial trade, and Butters would net me $110-120k.

Leaves me with a war chest of $420k for upgrades! :moustache:
Not many Rookies will play every game ....they'll go out & come back after a couple of weeks refresh

Butters, you can tell Port will be trying to get as many games into Butters, Duursma, and Rozee as possible .....in readiness for 2020

Once ROB has peaked ...there's no real option to cash him in, other than to select another non-playing Ruckman .....Bines maximises your $$ return

ROB will last till after the Byes now .....will help with Byes, as both Gawn and Grundy are R13 bye players

I think he’ll have a few more 80+ scores but Ports draw is tough with WCE, Collingwood and Adelaide as 3 of their next 4. That’s about as hard as it’ll get for an 18 year old small forward

Trade on his bye could work as we'll need him R13 and he has the R14 bye if he lasts that long

Before then he could be an emergency premium fund though if rookies stink

You two are nuts.

Settlefield will miss the next two weeks.
IF he then comes back and scores two weeks of 70’s (he hasn’t scored one yet) he will go up approximately 38k.

Are you really going to hold a bloke for four weeks to make 38k (at the absolute most based on scores thus far)

I said 115-125 for Cripps and 120-125 for Gawn

I just don't think ROB's an 80 average calibre ruck. I hope he does as that would make me lots of cash, I just don't see it though. He looks like a battler to me. We'll see though.
One thing is ROB's favour is his running power which will stand him in good stead as he gets comfortable in AFL ranks.
Finished top 5 in Crows 2kn time trial this year which is seriously good for a true ruckman.

Settlefield to ROB via Bines
Once peaked, ROB to Premo forward or rookie via Bines
No different to taking a rookie anywhere else on the ground

Just to clarify .....and I have very little options, due to the lack of FWD Rookies

I've gone Bines to ROB .....and Gibbons to Stack ....Setterfield stays on my FWD bench, with no way of getting him into the midfield ATS

I'm defintely not going to trade Setterfield to Bines, leaving me with Balta and Bines on my FWD bench ....I still have hopes for Setterfield & we went thru this last year with a few early duds (Fritsch) who later bounced back to be a great rookie

Gibbons wasn't going to get any better .....he goes, Setterfield stays

Structurally it makes sense to hold him and hide him in the mids for now for me until another option comes, will give me flexibility too

There's also bugger all forward rookies around aside from the 2 expensive Richmond kids in Bolton and Baker (i ain't going early on a rookie again unless it's during the bye rounds and no other rookies are around).

Burgess and Setterfield are spuds for sure and are just bench fodder, but until someone comes along and smashes consistent 60s out up forward, I ain't bothering to move them on due to their DPP, they can bugger off to D8/F8/M11 etc and I will downgrade/upgrade others first

Balta gets moved on straight up for whatever decent rookie is around, potentially next week, be it Ross, Hately, North, Baker, Bolton etc, Setterfield and Burgess will be vital to fill gaps through DPP to allow these moves to happen

The thing with ROB is i can see him improving. In his first game he bloody almost missed his foot 15 m out, that should've been an extra 10 points. In his second game he gave away 4 frees, two of them being holding the ball when he could've easily kicked it out. He has room to improve and despite not getting many hitouts, he's one of adelaides best runners believe it or not and gets around the ground well

Yep very true, and he may gel more as a link man as he gets used to his role.

In saying that my boys look like a steaming pile of dog shit rn, so we'd be relying on them not being shit. Which under current coaching panel, I have no faith in.

Currently his follow up work is very good and he may have few high tackle number games if he keeps throwing his weight around.

Won't ever score heavily from taps, but that may make his scoring somewhat predictable regardless of opponent.

Dunkley > Marshall
Sweet > ROB

I've won Supercoach now.

I hope all the former Sweet owners get Binesy next time

Though the kid with the weird name from Geelong could be an option

Probably all down to who has the most late games later in the season once getting rid of ROB

Gah, I can't decide whether I'm doing a double downgrade or one up one down. Feel like I should do the double downgrade and stockpile some cash. Dunno how many viable rookies I'll have to downgrade to going forward. Also doing the upgrade at this point means I need to cash in Drew now which feels way too early.

I've been watching ROB since his U18 year, when he played CHB at the Championships ......he's a battler at Ruck, but not around the ground

He'll be doing everything in his powers to hold his spot he's waited years for, you could see his disappointment every time he made a mistake.
