1st act had me going. Wait, are they giving us another baddie after avengers vs thanos 2.0

2nd act felt a drag, but it had it’s moments. Tony/Howard, Thor/his mum, captain America/captain america. Captain America/hydra etc.
3rd act was epic. And loved thanos vs captain marvel. Lowlight was probably not many black order moments. Also enjoyed starlord/gamora meeting and nebulas response to gamora.

Didn’t expect cap to come back. I was sitting there going, he sacrificed himself for black widow didn’t he. But that worked too I guess.

Roughly 8/10 from me.

I'll be seeing it again for sure (4 more times lol), this cinema experience was ruined by having too many people eating/chattering/checking phones/15 people having toilet pitstops.

Hulk got the most laughs
Biggest holy shit moment = Captain America wielding the hammer
Ending was pretty much forshadowed throughout the movie.
Also called the sacrifices before they happened.
Sad that Thanos lost!

Got to see it at Marion at the 9:30am session this morning. Love being on leave and my son on school hols :)

No spoilers, but it was incredible! Perfect ending. Loved every minute and it went by so quickly

Only ruining part for me were the 3 teens 2 rows behind me and my son who decided it would be great to talk through every part of the film in the first half (as well as saying stuff like "Why is everyone laughing, it wasn't even funny" during some one liners etc) So i kept turning my head (there was no one between us) as if to say "shut up" so they started trowing popcorn at me and my son....

They hit me twice and the 2nd time they got me, i jumped out of my seat and got in their faces and told them to calm the **** down and that everyone was just trying to enjoy the experience. The one i confronted very quickly turned on his mate and said "he was the one throwing the popcorn, i told him to stop" and i said that they better and went back to my seat

Didn't hear much out of them after that.....

But brilliant film. Thoroughly enjoyable. You won't be disappointed!

Would e been better if it wasn’t school holidays and you took your son out of school.
Wouldn’t have had the idiotic teens.

I'm not entirely sure they go to school by the looks of them and their intelligence ;)

This shit still happens in cinemas? Am sorry that happened. Throwing popcorn at you and your son, wow that’s embarrassing. Pathetic.

Some standout moments for me:

- Mjolnir responding to Cap, nicely teased in Age of Ultron. He was worthy, loved Thor’s reaction to it.

- Avengers Assemble. One of the great cinematic moments, epic in scale and delivery. Wow.

- Rocket scaring Bruce and Tony when they were placing the stones in Tony’s glove, that made me burst out laughing. ****ing gold.

- the closing moments with Cap and Peggy. Fantastic ending to his arc.

- Tony’s funeral. That got me. And nice to see that young lad from Iron Man 3 there, he was shown on purpose and likely to feature in the next phase.

- genuinely didn’t know which one of Widow or Ronin would sacrifice themselves. That was a great scene, chopping and changing between them. Very nicely done.

- Tony with his father. All class.

- Korg telling Thor that online gamer called him a dickhead. Holy ****, that was funny.

the only negatives for the film was Captain Marvel being a Deus Ex but I’m glad Thanos smacked her around

Very very unlikable from what I saw of her on the film

Everything else was perfect and closing and some new beginnerings of the original characters

Just perfect and emotional
How was she? She destroyed one ship and then got, as you said, beaten by Thanos. Her arrival wasn't really surprising and we've seen her destroy ships in a similar manner before.

inserted to save the day for Ironman and then the avengers

I haven’t seen her movie

And the starting dialogue of saying how’s shes the strongest just irritated me and reminded me of her interviews

I just don’t like her character she has no emotional depth and just two settings
Smirk mode
Badass/arogrant robot mode

Just feels really out of place watching her “performance” you’d think after 20 odd years away from Earh she’s develop a personality

I'll be going nuts at anyone who tries to ruin my session tonight. Anyways I'm out of here until midnight now that I can see spoiler tags

I liked (and anticipated) that there would be no end credit scene. It's finally over, no hints at a comeback, no opportunity for a sequel. Nice touch.

I thought it was good. Objectively as a movie I'd rank it the third best of the Avengers movies. But because it brings 10 years of movies to a single point for a stunning climax, it really could rank anywhere for fans.

The end battle felt like every action franchise was brought together at once. I was half expecting the Terminator or John Wick to show up. It was only the armies associated with all the MCU movies, of course, but it felt like cinema itself was fighting Thanos and we were going to see Rambo stroll in to have a go. That's probably due to the enormity of the fight, and the apocalyptic imagery. Anything felt possible.

I'm also not totally aware of who all the fighting characters were. The flying horse for example, I missed which movie that was from.

Captain Marvel didn't ruin the movie, in fact her overconfidence was rebuked by the characters in the movie, who made it clear that it was their fight too. And in the end they held centre stage and made all the sacrifices. I actually liked Captain Marvel as a paragon character, she was a neutral good, angelic character, again fitting in with the apocalyptic imagery along with the flying horse and other stuff.

Iron Man's death felt unexpected, but appropriate. The MCU is really all the other characters riding Robert Downey Jr's coattails. That's why they pay him the big bucks. He did a great job, and as an actor he has fulfilled his considerable talent with these big roles.

The time travel seemed a bit messy to me, I didn't quite know which time they returned to. If it was 5 years in the future, then why are Parker's classmates still in school? If it was just after the Thanos snap, then I suppose nobody even missed the Vanished, but there seemed to be scenes of Vanished characters being reunited. I'll have to watch it again to get the picture.

I liked the Back to the Future II kind of time travel, where they re-visit earlier events in the franchise, it seemed fitting for a finale to go back to the beginnings.

Captain America's ending was also very appropriate. Time travel movies are often about romance, loneliness, grief, and Cap, Iron Man and Thor all had to revisit theirs. Thor's mother basically sacrificed herself, it was implied she knew about her impending death, but they could have made more of that I thought.

Some of the dialogue didn't make sense. Thor's mother told him you just have to be who you are, not who you're meant to be. Then she told him to go and be what he was meant to be. I suppose he was meant to be who he is, and he wasn't being himself at the time?

I remember the post credit scene after Incredible Hulk which started it all, and thinking about the potential of a cross over movie series. They realised that potential and THEN some. This movie will break all kinds of box office records.

I shot phone users a pretty good Xtreme death stare. One particular person was doing it every 10 minutes, surely they would have known how long the movie was ?

Also pretty sure a certain couple were attempting to have "some fun" with each other along the same row I was in

Did lol at the packs of people that surely would have been bolting to the toilet once the credits first appeared and right at the end as the lights finally went up after the Marvel logo appeared.

Some of the audience participation was pretty good, laughed at the right moments. Some cheers (even light clapping which was odd but fun) in the right spots, a few "I don't know who that character is" moments as well. Overall (yes spot the fun hater) after the experience I had today, it kind of justifies to me why I like to go see movies without so many people in a session. I like things to be quiet - cheering and laughing in the right moments is fine. Being an annoying campaigner with checking a phone, loudly ruffling chip packets, cracking open cans of drink PLUS EATING/DRINKING loudly with no manners = not cool.

I also thought I was pretty good George Costanza style
I said ON YOUR LEFT, after hearing Falcon's voice. Then boom he appeared and said it himself. I'm houdini :p

She was fine I thought. Only weird part was when she got all-female back-up. It was supposed to be a girl power moment but it made no sense because most of them didn't have any powers from what I could see.

Each to their own I have made my thoughts clear on the matter
