I suspect umpires were told to pay only frees they see. So they obviously had poor vision for some of the plays. The non-free that everyone suspected to be paid was correct in the end. The tackle didn't stick and the ball didn't touch the ground to determine it a bounce in the tackle. In any case I feel they shouldn't pay frees for just a brief tackle. Just like the 1 last week where the player bounced the ball and the guy had a hold of his jumper.

About time Anzac day was shared again
Remember watching a game versus Richmond in front of 53000 as a kid.We kicked 9 or 10 goals to nothing in the first.
Then Richmond kicked 8 goals to nothing in the second.We ended up winning by 3 points.
And the point is AFL
It stays in my memory it was Anzac day.
Not Collingwood Essendon day.
I now boycott these games on that principle.

To say it’s about the $ is the easy chop out . It’s about the elite nothing more nothing less in my mind . On Australia’s most significant public holiday most of if not all afl teams would draw there members plus others to that game . We will never know though will we ... I reckon it’s to easy ( being polite ) to say oh they only bombers and pies could draw that crowd .what about the number of people watching on tv ? Stringer “attacking” the aerial ball with one hand removed any doubt that he’s never going to reach his potential. Some great things mixed in with very ordinary efforts.
