We are too busy drafting rising stars like Stephenson. And eventually, even though we are so strong it is very hard to break into the team, you will get to see IQ. Prepare yourself.

Ive seen IQuaynors's disposal efficiency and it's not flash at this stage. Stephenson is an excellent player but we got Stack for less than a rookie pick, that's why it's so awesome considering he is definately a top 5 draft pick. It's like we were given a priority pick for nothing sort of.We are too busy drafting rising stars like Stephenson. Crunched a bloke who wasn't looking, took a good mark and did nothing else. What he does do for tuggers fans is distract them from the awfulness of D Rioli
You might have my team wrong.Given you blokes gave up pick 2 for Dom Tyson I wouldnt be mouthing off.

Meh, just a poor man's Jordan Clark.
Yeah just like Sam Murray and Jason Cloke and other Collingwood KnobjockeysNow let's see where he is in five years time.
The AFL and Richmond have seen Indigenous talents come and go before...

Jason Cloke came and went pretty quick didn't he? Why are you stereotyping young indigenous players? Do you vote for One Nation or something?
I like this humanYeah, Cloke just turned out not to be good enough. Too slow to play small, not big enough (just 189cm) to play tall.
Players of all backgrounds can burn out or not make it. I'd love for everyone to get an opportunity and for everyone to make it. It's not prejudiced or inappropriate to acknowledge that many Indigenous players (perhaps moreso than non-Indigenous players, perhaps not) have found it challenging to adapt to the AFL lifestyle and requirements long-term, even those who have had promising starts to their AFL careers. Sometimes, media hype and overhype and pressure and "the footy bubble" can play into that. Stack had his own real-life challenges pre-draft, and I'm hoping that he continues to get the support and guidance he needs to become a long-term AFL player.
this flash on the pan was noted is a loose canon, that's why every club overlooked him. the desperate recruiters at richmond have taken a massive gamble and only time will tell if it's been worth it.

Fair call, although I think Stack has taken to AFL like a duck to water and I don't think it's inevitable that he will go off the rails at some stage. He's done nothing wrong since he came to Melbourne but the media keep bringing up his supposed bad reputation .Yeah, Cloke just turned out not to be good enough. Too slow to play small, not big enough (just 189cm) to play tall.

i was merely pointing out this player was marked high risk by every club that looked at him. even richmond had their doubts, why else would he be told to spend a few months living with Hardwick? there are lots of potential gun afl greats in every draft and only 1% make a go of it, and it's no different in this situation.Oh yeah, because in AFL history only choir boys are good long-term players
You know. Like Dane Swan, Darren Millane and Jordan de Goey.
Choir boys.
Or are you having a go at aboriginals?
Wouldnt be the first time for Pies fan.
Hard to get a spot in the pies 22. Tuggers not so much.
Some weeks he does, some weeks he doesn't. Will probably miss out next game. But you are really just helping make my point. He would be a great all up start with the tuggers.Varcoe gets a game so it can't be that hard
I wouldn't call a category B rookie pick a massive gamble. Unless of course I were a Collingwood supporter, consumed by envy and desperate to deflect.this flash on the pan was noted is a loose canon, that's why every club overlooked him. the desperate recruiters at richmond have taken a massive gamble and only time will tell if it's been worth it.

The Stack has everything.
Class, speed, poise, skill, courage, mongrel.
Shoe-in for Rising Star this week and we got him for nothing.
Spot on Mofra looks a top 3 drag pick imo. Some of these recruiters have the Matt Rendell syndrome and it has cost their club dearly.Stack has all the attributes courage, pace, goal sense, leap and spring and he is super efficient.I like Stack. Even against us I like watching him.
The fact he slipped through two drafts shows everything that is wrong with the AFL recruitment process, heavily weighted towards private schoolboys from 'solid' backgrounds. Give us more Stacks in the AFL please.
