We're not celebrating the end of his AFL career so much as our list managers finally waking up and realising he isn't up to it. That's not Jake's fault - I reckon he tried his best, just didn't work out.

I reckon if he was expected to be he as good as his dad he would have been taken as a second rounder minimum. At the end of the day he was drafted 3rd round rookie draft. Its not really surprising he didnt make it.

I have no issues with the club giving the son of the club legend a couple of extra years to have a crack. Jay Neagle got 4 years aswell. Obviously we wouldnt want 8-9 father son draftees on the list taking up spots playing vfl, but 1 or 2 is ok.

Michael is doing OK but is recovering from melioidosis and was very sick last year.
