Honestly some people overrate draft picks SO MUCH. Its nuts to be honest, how often do draft picks not work. Here we have 2 very classy mids (which we are in VERY desperate need of) want to come here and some people are getting pissed that we will lose some picks, that have a 50/50 shot at best of working out anyway.

Paying 3 first round picks for 2 first round quality mids is good business. Taking our picks to the draft we are running at about 5 picks per 2 hits.

In all seriousness absolutely fair play. A young midfield of hopper Taranto and Bolton is ridiculous and that doesn’t even include the likes of prestia. Bet ya the reason Riewoldt and Cotchin stayed on was cause they knew this.

Anybody who thinks Clarke isn’t involved in discussion regarding trading out picks is kidding themselves anyway.
Then again you’re talking to Magic

Clarke and Blair rate every player from the state leagues and across afl as well as the kids draft prospects. They do this for this exact scenario, where they can tell what the actual value of a draft pick is likely to be rather than it’s face value.
