I don’t think his manager’s phone will have been running hot anywayDoesn’t bode well for Mitch to get a go at a new club when he carry’s on like that

Sounds like de Goey is leaving Collingwood. Wonder if this complicates McStay going to Collingwood

Why would De Goey leaving Collingwood impact our Free Agency compensation?Free agency compensation
Wouldn’t it just force Collingwood to trade DeGoey so they get McStay for nothingWhy would De Goey leaving Collingwood impact our Free Agency compensation?

I don’t believe that’s the concern.Wouldn’t it just force Collingwood to trade DeGoey so they get McStay for nothing
If it was me I would prefer that to read 'convicted of a criminal offense' rather than just 'charged' and even then I would want to be sure 'criminal offense' doesn't include speeding etc!Degoey will be at the Pies next year I reckon, they’ll sort it out.
Behavioural clauses are so subjective, the only way it could work is ‘if you are charged with a criminal offense’ - how on earth would the decide what action triggers the clause?
Yeah given De Goey is a RFA Collingwood would definitely match and force a trade.
Only issue I can foresee for Collingwood is that it means they match the contract that St Kilda offered, likely similar money sans clauses, which De Goey may just accept (he needs to reject for Collingwood to force a trade).
Gardiner is an unrestricted free agent, he can leave, and we will receive a compensation pick. We can’t force a trade.Rumour Heard Darcy Gardiner might be gone salary cap and draft picks. Would have thought we would have the deal done by now if he was staying.

I’m pretty sure he’s a restricted free agent.Gardiner is an unrestricted free agent, he can leave, and we will receive a compensation pick. We can’t force a trade.
Not to mention their players got stay in their own beds for most of the season as all Vic clubs do. Interstate teams in that era were literally away from home 50% of the season ( well Sydney and Brisbane )It always annoys me that Collingwood supporters have the gall to criticise our premierships when we had the benefit of a retention allowance when everyone knew that there were a whole heap of these deals going on with their players. Common knowledge that the taxable income of the Collingwood players of that era were much higher than they were under the cap.
Gardiner is a restricted free agent.
Yeah my bad, mixed up McStay and Gardiner.I’m pretty sure he’s a restricted free agent.
McstayWill be interesting to see who goes next.
Dunkley+Ashcroft+Flecher - still need another spot to draft a player/add to the rookie list.
I think that gives a bit more insight into DeGoey. He clearly doesn't have the mental capacity to keep his nose clean and further more doesn't want too....Michael Warner from the AGE Reporting DeGoey doesn’t like that Collingwood Put behaviour issues in his contract
Rumoured to be going where ?Rumour Heard Darcy Gardiner might be gone salary cap and draft picks. Would have thought we would have the deal done by now if he was staying.
