Especially once cooled for that resistant starch baby!

Resistant starch is literally the only good thing about a potato. They have basically zero vitamins once cooked, zero fiber, high GI, and they're full of glycoalkaloids. Probably pretty bad for gut biome balance too (though that's only early research).

They do taste good fried with salt though, I'll give em that.

Got from that
1) The first 41 minutes was hidious
2) Ross had fun in the media and doesn't seem to be as intense as he was the previous stint
3) Already looking at exploiting the stand rule, identified the team has run (meaning so pace, Hill, Webster, Jones, Gres, Sinc's, I would imagine)
4) Looking to defend off quick ball movement and combine that with the above
5) The team has more than one gear (not full on run, run, run I think he means, but to be able to manage the game when required)

Really it is unfair we have to wait 4 months for the first practice match.

It's actually a great show when its JB and Bill, easily the best thing Triple M has now, but Joey is a rough listen.

GA’s are basically goneski by the time they’re peeled & cooked, but they’re also one of the heaviest sprayed veggies too which is why I rarely eat em. Good for satiety though.

As with most list management calls, the obviously good ones like Crouch aren't the issue. Everyone here was in favour of getting him, and we were happy we held out and got him for free. Great work.

The only clear problem I can see with his list management was the Hill negotiation. (Maybe also picking up a bunch of older guys to fill gaps but that feels more like club strategy.)

Everyone on here wanted Hill but it was immediately really clear we overpaid. A first, a second, a fourth and Acres felt like a huge price to everyone, and it's proven to be the case. He needed Hill to turn out an absolute superstar to justify that and obviously that hasn't happened.

Paying that huge price hurt both our 2019 and 2020 drafts, and so the only draft-age players we got in two full years were Byrnes, Connolly, Jack Bell, Allison, Heath. If he goes, that will be why.

I didn't want hill, it felt to me like we were trading for a smaller Acres and paying him $500k more. The reality is he was a mercenary going to the highest bidder and we as a small club had to overpay to get him.

What's unhealthy is the frying not the potato itself

I have to admit I am a little concerned with the "favourite sons return to the club" mode that we are in. It normally doesn't end well when players/people of stature and magnitude return to a place where they once had power/control. I hope I will be proven wrong.
I would not be too worried.

Walsh an outsider sits above them all and has been at multiple clubs.

Lyon, Harvey and Lenny also have been at multiple clubs.

Then there is Enright too.

Now if you were only having ex St Kilda players who had only been at St Kilda then that would a concern.

Isn't there a Footy Classified video kicking around where Ross talks glowingly about the list?

The FC episode after we beat Hawthorn Ross talked about how good we were going and even being 10 goals up we were still pressuring and doing the 1% things on the field, etc, etc... he said that he hadn't seen the Saints play like that for a long time.

You really are Pete Evans. Why do they spray something that grows in the mud? Seems pointless.

I lived in Tassie for 3 years , they have a potato down there called a pink eye, you can't buy them on the mainland, they are the tastiest spubs I have had, people would sell them on the side of the road🥰
