The early numbers just made so much sense and fit with this crop of draftees so well, Faull 8, Armstrong 12, Hotton 10, Smillie 9 and if hesitant about 4 just give Lalor 6 ffs. Now we are going to have number 70 lining up in the goal square. Very underwhelming. I say it because it's the reality of the situation. People need to readjust what 'best 22' means.

You may not like it, but Mansell and Miller aren't going anywhere for a while.

If its ‘for while’, then thats def not a good thing long term. We have 8 new players plus next year, so you would hope mansell and miller are replaced pretty quickly otherwise we will be at the bottlm for a very long time still.

It's is good that Maurice gets to wear his Dads number.

As for the rest of the numbers, knowing how this board operates, had we given Lalor 4 and Smillie 9, in particular, and they struggled, there would be some of the same people who are critical we didn't do it, questioning why we did do it and put extra pressure on them to perform from day 1.

As mentioned this morning if jumper numbers are our biggest issue heading into 2025, then load up on us because the odds* are that juicy we'll all make a killing.
