So far every team has gone up to the bar and ordered a bottle of champagne 🍾

Our turn and we get a glass of beer :beermug:

Will Campbell it is with pick # 4.

A left guard that might be able to play left tackle.

The pick was as expected, however its a needs based reach rather than the best player available.

Whilst I was expecting this pick, I have to say its a very disappointing and underwhelming pick.

Hope like hell he proves my doubts wrong and becomes a serviceable left tackle.

Hard to argue against Campbell's passion and gratitude. He may have just won me over.

I have always loved his passion and his leadership.

And in many ways I am probably more pissed, at the quality at pick 4 this year because if just feels, a really shitty talent pool by comparison to other years.

TreVeyon Henderson - RB.

I like this pick and as it is another piece of the puzzle that helps Drake Maye.

Also gives a little indicator as to how the offensive might look like under McDaniels.

Additionally it aligns with the intel that Will Campbell is a good in the run block.

Speaking of Will Campbell, it's hard not to like this kid he has a very charismatic and infectious personality, as far as being a great locker room additionally he comes across as being being an asset.

I have come around to the selection and am at peace with it.

As I mentioned in the main draft chat, in fairness to Vrabel, he told us what he'd be doing in the offseason some time ago. He's carrying through with it and, the team looks significantly better. Coupled with the Campbell and Henderson picks, adding an impact TE (Arroyo) and WR (Noel/Bech/Williams) would feel like a home run draft.

Kyle Williams - WR

Hell yeah.

A zippy fast WR - love this pick.

It's been a good morning - two burners with separation and yard eaters.

Heard someone say this was the anti Bill Belichick draft, prioritising building around your QB.
For the first time in a long time, it felt like the Pats had a targeted plan and moved with what unfolded rather than forcing reach picks.

As for Eliot Wolf, I tip my hat to him, not for this draft, but publicly taking ownership of last year's cluster****.

I think Vrabel had a lot to do with it. No doubt in my mind he would have had some personnel control which he was after in Tennessee.

I've no doubt that's the case but, the FO's collective performance across free agency and the draft has been light years ahead of anything the team has delivered in years.

And Amen to that :praying:.

Very happy with what the Front Office has delivered this year in both free agancey and now the draft, a far cry from the cluster fu(k that was served up a year ago.

There seems to have been a very specific and deliberate plan, that was hatched, then prioritising and delivered on, in this years draft.

From a schematic perspective, the first four picks make a lot of sense and you can see how the picks collectively point toward what McDaniels will be implementing to assist Drake Maye.

Such a targeted attack on a specific area need, would have never been done in the Belichick era.
Bill had a slanted obsession with defence - defence - and then more defensive players.

Josh McDaniels would be happy with the draft and Terrell Williams would have been stokes with what was delivered in free agency.

Fair to say that the alpha male Mike Vrabel has firmly stamped his mark on the organisation.

The team roster looks far more balanced and as a collective, gives me much hope for optimism, going into the new season.

I still think it will take us another one to two, free agency and draft periods, to get back to our rightful place, sitting on top of the AFC East.

But the last few months have been a heck of a start, as The Vrabel Era, looks to have got off to an excellent begining.

Patriots rivalry uniform. Tbh, i love these so much. I'd even urge adopting them as your fulltime Home uniform, rebrand official colors to these. Too many blue teams, same hues of blue, and other standard colors. This color palette used is very unique.

Shithouse loss to The Raiders aside, I am fairly comfortable with the Pats season so far, think we should be aiming for playoffs.

Mike Vrabel looks like an inspired coaching appointment.

Go Pats

He does ......... and to be honest it could only go one way.

Hand Job Bob messed up badly with the Mayo appointment.

Vrabel was the obvious choice last year, but Kraft let favouritism cloud his judgement.

That said there is no reason why we shouldn't be focusing on making the playoffs.

To be honest, we should be 4-0 in light of butchering two home games to ordinary opponents, but alas you would’ve pencilled a L yesterday, so essentially we prob get one of those back.

D looks great & Maye has options to throw to. Bad news with Gibson gone for season, but think Trev & Stevo can develop into a great combo.

Need to consolidate this win down in the big Easy next week & playoffs start to beckon.
