On the coverage yesterday at half time it showed Flanders getting work done on hip/lower back then pulling up lame after a chase and hunched over holding said hip/lower back so may be an out this week if too sore

We should genuinely be too good for them across the park. Blues have not been good at running out games, even when dominant. They usually score between 60-70 points a game, and sometimes less.
A few individuals would have to play out of their skin or we’d have to stink it up like when we went to Adelaide.
But yes, all games are danger games right now for any team trying to make the 8. We just gotta go in and get the points and believe we are better and not get overawed by whatever Carlton fans rock up.

Flanders was finding form too. Hopefully can be easily managed if he can’t actually play.
But Swallow or Rosas could take that role. Or Rogers/Lombard if we want to go with youth instead. I’d go Rosas — Swallow — Rogers — Lombard as order of preference. Rosas has good form in the VFL and we’ve had some luck rewarding that this year; could be real dangerous. Swallow is a good enough forward. Rogers is fast. Lombard just needs more time to polish up his game.
Can also just move Holman to forward and sub another player.

I want Leo or Rogers but I'm pretty sure this paves the way for Swallow
I agree but think Swallow will get the nod. Leo and Jake will fight it out next year for the same spot. Rosas? Tried and failed so many times.

I think that injury to Holman hurt him mentally and he isn't hitting the contests like he used to, can't blame him would have been pretty frightening There was some vision of him last weekend actually standing back and not engaging in a contest for the ball which as we all know is simply not what Nick Holmans brand used to be

It's a bit of a trend comp wide, they are obviously aware of the risk of getting suspended for reckless head contact that they look like they are backing out of contests. Also the player going at the ball going in head first knowing they can draw a free kick or even suspension is half the issue. The whole ruling has created more of an issue than it originally was.
