should scale for where you finish on the ladder. premiers getting top picks for peanuts has to go.
Also, given that a few select clubs have benefitted more from father/son than others, restrictions could and probably should be applied for the next few years to correct that imbalance. Perhaps it could be based on how many matches respective father/sons have played at clubs in the last 5/10/20 years.

eg. a club with 300+ games from F/S's in the past 10 years could have their access curtailed immediately, whereas a club with 100 or less games from F/S's in the past 10 years might be given 5 years before restrictions applied.

Of course, these are arbitrary numbers, but given the ****ed up algorithms and "secret formulas" the AFL applies to a range of other important metrics in footy, it stands to reason this equalisation should also be applied to hopefully correct the imbalance.

Blues fans are melting about something that's only been rumoured LOL

God I'd laugh if they make it so Father/Sons can only happen outside the 1st round.

He's 8th in the league for hitouts and gets more hitouts to advantage than Xerri.

Hitouts are one of the most over rated stats in footy.
There a vast difference between useless stats and hit out dominance. Nank gets his hands to the ball but his taps to “advantage” are terrible. Anyone with eyes can see that a tap to a midfielders feet is worth far less than one put out in front, yet they are the same stat.

Hit out stats are near worthless and poor indication of actual ruck craft. Xerri hit it where his mids are wanted it and they were off to races.

Yes, he’s arguably the best ruck in the league

Or do his mids read the taps better? Chicken or the egg. Nank is is very good ruck, our midfield is poor.

Put Anderson and Rowell at Nanks feet and I bet his HOAs go through the roof.

Hahaha Swan told clubs that next year there will be changes to the F/S in a bid to get away from a heavily compromised 1st round.

Blues fans going to melt.
Ohhh they already have been 😍

One blues fan reckons clubs should collude with each other and not take father sons lol

Mate if Cody Walker is available and we have pick 1 or 2, I'm taking him. Also, i doubt saints would allow it to happen, they are the number 1 team pushing for F/S to change.

LOL

FUTURE TIGERS?

2025
Louis Kellaway (Father-Son)
2026
Tanner Armstrong (NGA)
Archie Daffy (Father-Son)
[/COLOR]

Louis Kellaway, son of Duncan, has been ultra-consistent in his draft year for South Australia and Sturt, eclipsing 95 SuperCoach points in every game.
The 180cm midfielder is clean at ground level and makes good decisions by foot. He received a national combine invite but appears likely to attract a bid later in the draft.
The Tigers also has a couple of promising club-tied talents in the 2026 draft in NGA prospect Tanner Armstrong and Archie Daffy, the son of Richmond best and fairest winner Nick.

Armstrong caught the eye as a bottom-ager against Vic Metro at the U18 national championships as a defender and has impressed as a midfielder for the Murray Bushrangers and Scotch College. An U16 All-Australian for Vic Country, Armstrong is a tidy ball user and reads the play nicely in defence.
Daffy has had some big games at APS level for Geelong College and has shown good signs in his bottom-age year for the Geelong Falcons.

Once again Kellaway has really performed well, but is seen a late pick. Really interesting.

Otherwise Armstrong looks good and Daffy is better than APS. Which does not mean a lot for the AFL really. But it is a lot better than not being APS quality

Won’t get rid of of it but you’ll be cornholed for the price if they’re bid r1 and rightfully so to it’s farcical theres a discount, it should be double the price

Is it just fatherson that will be affected or will it be academies to next yr?
This could end up being very very funny.
Believe it will be all as Caro said they're trying to get a clean 1st round. To me that sounds like it will only be compo picks that would have an impact.

It would be hilarious if they staggered NGA for another yr and we got walker for free.
they should really do this for next draft as Bewick (essendon) probably goes top 3 in 2027 and it would be really poor for walker to go to carlton but not bewick to essendon. Nor sure why the boards are complaining either they said last yr there would be changes in 2026.
