2 years is better than no extension or the rumoured 2 + 9 deal, but wish it was a bit longer.
Seems like he's committing the bare minimum but still on very good coin, which he's worth every cent of.
Not expecting the trade talk to die down overly much. Maybe a bit less in the next 2 years, with it reaching fever pitch again in 2028.

Didnt Geelong all take pay cuts to get Garry jnr back . Modesty goes a long way to team success . 11 years at 2 million is not modest .Its bending your club over . 2 years at 2 million is ok when there isnt other good players in the team . In 2 years time or how many years til we get decent playerd if he doesnt want to be modest trade him out . Get more good hopefully modest players who play for a little less than they are worth and build success . Premierships , happier life , play longer in an environment thats more enjoyable rather than envy someones got more of the salary cap

At the end of three years he will be hitting his prime and if we aren't a markedly beter team by then you would have to call this rebuild a failure. Not only would you not blame him for leaving, it might even make sense to let him go for a suite of players/draft picks. On the flipside if all is going to plan Harley would be pretty invested in it all and more likely to stay.

I can live with him not signing for five now. He will sign a further two year extension at least (as long as we are on the upward swing and still not winning 1 game a year), to get to free agency anyway.

Always a chance he goes longer now on next extension if we are really showing promise.

They had no idea either.
