Fages makes two important changes. I would start Reville and name Marshall as SUB. Bruce is physically more advanced and he can hit the scoreboard. Oscar to the goal square.

We are going to win this one. Really need big games from Cam and Charlie. Anything less than four quarter efforts from these two will disappoint. We can’t afford to have players returning 3 or 4 disposals for a half, unless they are kicking 3 or 4 goals with them.

Bit surprised they went Gallop over Day but I guess they like his defensive pressure more than they like Days contested marking which is understandable
Gallop is the future, especially with Hipwood out.

Dunks did talk up Ty in his presser earlier in the week (admittedly in response to a question on Ty).

I think with Day and Oscar, we would probably be a bit too slow.

Hoping to see

In: McInerney
Out: Day

In: McKenna
Out: Gallop

In: Reville
Out: Neale

Keep Marshall as the sub

Bailey as the 4th midfielder with Rayner going into centre bounces occasionally

Smaller forward line will put a lot of pressure on our ball movement working so we don't need to bomb it long but will help us lock the ball inside 50

Gold Coast aren't tall in the forward line so shifting Dizzy forward is a backup option and even starting him forward might be a better option than Gallop

Marshall stays the sub. Isn't strong enough in the contest to stand up in finals pressure. Reville isnt much better but at this stage hes a slightly better option. Was hoping Tunstill could be an option but his finish to the season was poor

Oscar for Day is a hail Mary but hopefully the team walks a bit taller with Oscar out there
Where’s all your comments about how much better day is than Oscar and fort???

Just evaporated all of a sudden

I think Oscar being in will be incredible for team morale. What he has done for this club and knowing it could be his last game for the team if we lose - is huge for his teammates. If that doesn’t bring out the dog in them, nothing will.

Once you realise that we’re the youngest team in the top 8 it helps put into perspective that we aren’t the team we were last finals series and we are very much back with the pack in terms of competing for a flag this year.

I think this is the best 22 we can put out there. The game will be won or lost in the midfield and our ability to control one of Rowell and Anderson. We know Davies is going to run a shield for Rowell. If we can negate that we will go a long way to success. I want Oscar to stand deep in the goal square. Ruck maybe 20% of the time max. He'll either clunk it or bring it to ground for Charlie or Kai.

Oscar , Day , Gallop ...at this point not much difference between the 3.

What's done Sam in is his off the ball efforts last week.

The boys will really lift for Oscar and likewise he for them. It's an emotional choice but given what we had to choose from the right one. It's also far better backup for Fort against Witts.

I think that is the main reason Oscar is included.
We don't have other options if Fagan want to keep a 3 tallish at times forward line.

It will be interesting if the 2 rucks/forward works.
If it's not working when will Fagan pull the plug and go small.
Hopefully we are cruising along nicely scoreboard wise and no real need to make an early change.

Day basically made himself unpickable last week, his unwillingness to pressure was ridiculous.
