Before this year 2 games. This year played 13 games. That is a breakout season. Especially given the physical requirements on his body type. I am not sold but must get games. How did Allan have a breakout year? It is in fact pretty crazy to back a fringe AFL-calibre player over a 28 year old who just averaged 25 touches a game
Almost sounding like the Swans want a Sam Murray kind of trade. But more going their way.Hahaha. Tell em they are dreaming. Out of contract MSD pick.
Pick 50 at best
Do you watch the vfl games jmac?Ryan injured this year. I wouldn’t give up on him.
I’m pretty bullish on our kids and am not convinced we need a guy like Oliver.

Both Long and Allan had break out years. It’s not crazy to suggest we back them over an ageing Oliver.
We fell short this year and our rivals are all adding players who will improve them. Our youth will not progress to the level of Clayton Oliver reached in 2025, and more likely than not will never.Ryan injured this year. I wouldn’t give up on him.

Hogan was written off. Went on to dominate and won a Coleman.

Yes he did.Hogan was written off. Went on to dominate and won a Coleman.
FOMO about future unknown possibilities won't be a factor in the decision. That may be the case but like I said before, at what cost? Taking on Oliver could also hand cuff us for a play next year and beyond for much better options.
I think talent issues are more the issue with Ryan. Hope I’m proven wrongHad Injury Issues that held Ryan back

"We'll be holding him to his contract"Every list manager says they're not going to trade their contracted players
It doesn't mean they won't.

I beeg to differ.Long is awful mate.
He prefaced his comments by offering that the club had invited him and that he’d chased Peter over the weekend, but made it out that Peter was ducking him. It was really grubby. Hird’s comments suggested he wasn’t keen on it when it was on the rundown sheet because he seemed to want to distance himself from it.
The answer is a clear yes to those two questions. But it's the probability of them occurring that is the real question.Number 1 is can we really win the flag next year with Oliver?
If the answer is yes, they might take him.
Number 2 is can he contribute for at least 4 years whilst the veterans retire.
He was one in a million.Reminds me of someone (who would have played well into his 30s had he not smashed his leg)

I reckon you were as close with that as you were commenting on Oliver’s rig
