Last episode about "getting the whisky back" was pretty weak writting there. They lost all the tension they were building up to that point and it fizzled out to nothing.

Just sloppy, rushed writing.

We got Samuel L Jackson's character introduced as an assassin to target Dwight but next scene it turns out that they are best mates so that plot point fell flat straight away.

I lasted half way into S1. It started off OK, quickly rising to a level then it kind of stagnated.
Quaint would be my way of describing it. It's the kind of show the 7 network would run on FTA.
I not surprised by some of the later comments here.
