Yeah, Edmund updated that post twice - it now implies Sydney had asked for that pick at some point before the Pies traded it.
But I still haven’t seen it reported anywhere that Pies have come to Swans with any offer?

We need a Trade Day and not a Trade Period
tbf to the clubs, unless they need the trade done to unlock other trades, they may as well wait to see what happens. It makes sense to hold off in the hope that the trading partner relents before you do.
Surely this isn't being held up because they are righting over Pick 45 or 56?
Both picks will slide in a lot from where they are once we get to the actual draft to help with matching bids.
If Collingwood are only matching on McCarthy, I'm not sure they need many points at the back end anyway.

Yeah I guess that’s fair. Just think it could have easily been done in the first week.
Anyway I’m out for the night so hopefully when I get home the trade will have been done
The picks will probably come in rather than slide. Picks below around 50 are now worth zero points, so all picks used to match will need to be earlier ones. Since earlier picks will get consumed through matching, those picks will move up the order (i.e. 56 becomes 48, or something).
