There would be more than just Rick in his Families Premiership history dating back over 100 years or so at the club
VT assembling not a bad unit at the moment with some experienced heads.

How many of their successful U18 teams over the past few years will be playing Senior football this year?

Smyth x 2
Hall
Leigh
Butler

Will be the main ones from the premiership side that will be regulars or there abouts. I think we had 12 of them play through the seniors in total last year

What did I say regarding players leaving murch.. expect more to come.
Couple of ok players have left, I’m sure they will be just fine. They’ve re-signed the core group.
Still flag favourites.

Although influx of Nagambie recruits from Shepp Swans / East Malvern have definitely shortened them in the market.

Difference is that their leaving to the GV mate can a minor league coach complain if some players want to try and play at a higher standard wouldn’t have thought so! I think you may have a grudge against Murch and that maybe right but they have had success and want to see how they go in a better league and rightly so

Nagambie, Lancaster and Violet Town have been very active on the recruiting front.

More than ok players, Wellington and K Sanders to Shepp United through a strong connection with Trent Freer. 😉

Kal’s wing position would have a fair line up wanting to claim it, starting with Brodie Sanders, Cal Miller, and Liam Leahy!

From what I’ve seen on MT socials, from the GF team that just leaves Sam Mackrill, Brayden Cecchin and Lachy Devine to be announced. Where are they off to footylover44?

Mackrill retired I’ve heard mate, Devine somewhere in Melb.

Alternative view to this is that it is a team sport and if they wish to make a profession out of playing football then why not commit and try out at the highest available level VFL .
The theory of ‘ playing a better standard’ unfortunately filters down to juniors where kids think they need or should go play at a GVL type league . The odds are high that those that do that , don’t play footy for long or put their hand out to return to their home club .
Despite all the noise to the contrary which is merely a recruiting ploy , there is no evidence that don’t develop better within community leagues where they often play up a grade than ‘ major ‘ leagues and junior only comps .
There is plenty of history of kids development going backward when ‘ going to play at a higher level ‘
It’s 🐂 💩 , develop kids in their home club and encourage them to go to VFL if playing professionally is their dream .

Edit : I don’t begrudge players who take this action as it’s drummed into players head and they often shamed if they don’t .
We’ve all heard the old ‘ he’s too good for this standard ‘ .
Clubs need to alter the rhetoric .

Seems to be a bit of an exodus at Stanhope so far. Ludbrook to Rushworth along with a few other boys already headed elsewhere

A few more to go out to Rushy yet too, the fearless twos Premiership leader has his entourage (Ludbrook one of them) heading out there I believe

Here's a link to what we could see in regards to transfers over 20 years ago! No need for Instagram announcements!

We also had the added theatre of seeing a players clearance being rejected twice, before being forced through on the third attempt!

The beauty about the online clearance rejection back in the day was that it created so many hearsay rumours around the towns as to why they got rejected etc, it was action packed from Feb 1st onwards! Haha Then created abit of fun with sledging during the season! Haha

Big loss for the Tiges no doubt, but good luck to him, he has done his part in getting Rushy to a point of relevance again, will be a good test for him playing under uncle Daniel in what looks to be a very good looking Pacco team he is putting together.
Pacco losing lots of players
Good luck
