This is our Footy Club and anyone involved in bringing our club in disrepute should stand down immediately, take your fight elsewhere and let the the era of Josh Carr get some clear air without the distraction of egotistical people.

Stop using the Port Adelaide Football Club as your battle ground for personal attacks.

It's time to step down David Koch.

Right now it's not our footy club. It belongs to the AFL.

If we want it back it's going to take a hell of a fight.

I want to see Warren go postal on Koch and the board and the AFL itself. It'll get dismissed by all in sundry and the AFL/Media machine as the rantings of a lunatic, but it would be epic to watch.

As others have said, I would much rather that Koch stood down and he and Warren could continue their battle without dragging the whole club through it in public. That way, hopefully, Josh and the rest of the team could just focus on what really matters.

I actually think Koch is more likely to dig his heels in because, assuming this is a battle of egos, there's no way he would want to leave due to anything related to matters involving Tredrea and/or his family.

You're right though, assuming the new boss is Cardone, I presume that would be more of the same in terms of management and direction.

I think the only way to truly change direction off the field, is if there's some sort of scandal that implicates multiple directors, resulting in their resignations. The likelihood of that is about as likely as Hinkley's record of games coached at one club without making a grand final getting broken.

Yes, my reading of David Koch is that if he were to vacate the Chair at this point he would be afraid that the Members would see it as a win for Warren Tredrea. Koch would want to leave the Chair as a great benefactor.

As for Cos Cardone he is another media minion and as such he would likely see things in terms of ratings and reviews. These people do not espouse popular causes because they actually believe in them but because it is good for the ratings. In this respect Cardone would be no different from Koch.

Now that Tredrea has gone we are back to having a Board on which only one person in George Fiacchi has actually played the game at the highest level. This has to be a shortcoming particularly when you consider that the CEO Matthew Richardson also has no AFL/VFL playing experience. The one thing about Josh Carr is that he has surrounded himself with coaching experience in people like Andy Collins, Stuart Dew, Darren Reeves and Jacob Surjan. A pity we could not follow that philosophy and get some Aussie Rules playing experience onto the Board.
