I am joyfully avoiding Metallica this evening as I received my five CDs from Rise Above Records - all with a jewel case and three with cardboard outer sleeves. The With the Dead album has a holographic sleeve which is very cool.

Leper and Fade certainly an upgrade on Holier Than Thou and The Unforgiven, same set as Perth otherwise from memory

Think the suicide speech should have been saved for after Fade to Black finished - ruined the flow. Don't mind it but gee Lars made a number of errors. That Fuel song belongs at the monster cars or in a shitty action film. Legit never heard King Nothing until tonight. Wonder if Creeping Death would be better placed towards the end of the set (blows my mind so many people not into it). Band seemed into it and made it clear that they'd be back.

Thought Lars was pretty solid actually, he nailed the double baas at the end of Leper.
There's so many other songs I wish they could've played, hopefully it's not the last ever tour.

Nah came here as gf organised tickets for something else before the Metallica tickets went on sale. Be a busy night on Saturday as Blood Incantation are playing too.

I enjoyed last night more than I thought I would. Leper Messiah blew me away, wasn't expecting it and it sounded great. Fade To Black is one of my all time favourite songs, not just by Metallica, so they were very welcome additions.

The middle section was a bit harder going but still enjoyable enough, the last handful of songs were good though I can think of any number of songs I'd close with over Enter Sandman (though it's clear from the crowd that a hell of a lot of people rate it extraordinarily highly going by their reactions).

Not for a few years but were ok from memory - think (non used) pizza box with bubble wrap (can't recall if the vinyl was removed from cover).
