My preference order(semi educated)
1. Cumming (near miracle)
2. Grlj (some chance)
3. Oskar Taylor
4. Harley Barker
5. Farrow
6. Lindsay
7. Dovasten

I know that Farrow and Lindsay are rated higher than Taylor and Barker, but I would prefer the hard running ball users.

I'm pretty confident we'll get someone very decent with that first pick.
That's probably close to how I'd see it too. I'm torn on Farrow vs O Taylor vs Barker. They are a split match for mine, and I think it would come down to the intangibles that us fans don't see, but hopefully the recruiting team do in their interviews.

From News Cortp: AFL talent ambassador Kevin Sheehan was asked to nominate his top draft smokey’s, Sheehan nominated four players:Gold Coast Suns Academy midfielder Jai Murray, Eastern Ranges defender Oskar Taylor, Sandringham Dragons key forward Archie Ludowyke and Murray Bushrangers key forward Liam Hetherton.

For our 2nd pick, what about this guy? SA which is not ideal but the rest looks good. https://online.fliphtml5.com/xsdds/qfiz/#p=64

Yep, i love him, and have taken him in mock drafts this year. Not sure he makes it to our 2nd pick, nor am i sure Caruso selects him.

an article on the key staff who manage team lists at each club.

Jason McCartney is one of a handful of GMs across the competition that also oversee list management. After playing a key role in the Western Bulldogs' list build ahead of the drought-breaking premiership in 2016, McCartney moved to Greater Western Sydney as list manager in 2017 before becoming GM of football operations two years later. Adrian Caruso has been recruiting for the Giants since 2013, progressing to national recruiting manager and more recently promoted to head of talent after previously working for Champion Data and the Western Bulldogs as an analyst. Emma Quayle became the first female recruiter in the AFL when she left an award-winning career as a football journalist to join the Giants at the start of 2017. Quayle covered the draft closely across more than 15 years reporting for The Age in Melbourne, writing must-read human-interest features and books that captured the attention of clubs long before she joined the Giants. Tom Nixon is the SA and WA recruiting officer at the Giants, rounding out a lean team that is usually involved prolifically every November, but not this year.

They are really into him, it’s a big chance!
Not for me. We have Gothard and Hannaford yet to debut but looking promising, with Bedford playing consistently in the forward line, Thomas and Daniels down there for periods as well. Jones to return next year. Wardius as depth. Not to mention Delana. That would be an absolute wasted pick for mine.

Zero Hanger have us taking Latrelle with our first pick and Ludowyke with our 2nd.

Lots of small forwards on our list.

Return of the mosquito fleet.

Then let's hope they continue their run of being completely wrong about our picks.

If we take another small forward with our first pick I'm going to lose my mind. Isn't that what Gothard and Hannaford are there for?

Probably the last thing we need.

Agree big time

From zero hanger but not sure how good their intel is. But if Grlj is there I find it a near impossible outcome that we would take Latrelle over him. But I'm already preparing myself for disappointment.
Hawthorn has been linked heavily to Eastern Ranges half-back Oskar Taylor with Pick 10. GWS has been heavily linked to mature-aged Glenelg forward Latrelle Pickett in recent days with its first selection. There was an expectation the Giants would look to Oskar Taylor, but there is now a belief that Pickett has surpassed Taylor in their reckoning. Sam Grlj has also been linked to the Giants, should Richmond overlook him, with the Vic Metro co-captain likely available at their selection if he gets passed the Tigers.

I stand to be wrong. But not only is he not a positional fit, I dont think he is as good as other options that will be available at that point.
Im hoping we get Sam Grjl if those are our choices.

Fox sports phantom just came out and also has us taking Latrelle

Looking at the other names in the mix for us according to Fox I would much rather any of Grlj, Barker or Phillipou.
In the mix/trade watch: The Giants are one of the best clubs in the land at keeping their draft plans close to their chest. It’s why an array of players have been linked to them over recent weeks. Outside of Pickett, the most common Giants link is Eastern Ranges defender Oskar Taylor – the quintessential modern-day attacking half-back player. Some believe Sam Grlj wouldn’t get past the Giants if he was available on the night. But South Australian duo Harley Barker and Jevan Phillipou, as well as forwards like Cameron Nairn, Archie Ludowyke, Mitch Marsh and even West Coast NGA prospect Tylah Williams are also said to be in the Giants’ mix.

Me too!!

Hopefully it's just media group think because they can't get an accurate read from our recruiting team.

Nothing against Latrelle Sumner-Pickett, but even with injuries, we're well-stocked for small forwards and need guys in midfield or half back. If Sam Grij is there, he'd be the perfect choice as a player who could play off half-back but move into the midfield (noting that without injuries, he'll be playing VFL, where he could do either role but playing midfield would be best for his development).
