In fairness to Rambler,

Have heard similar on the grape vine. Also they forfeited their 17s against us and a few others late in the year. Their Ressies couldn't field a bench and their 14s used a few of our kids.

It was not a stretch to think the rumours were true. Hopefully its not, Sounds like they have made progress.

Just announced Kane Williams, he will be handy for them. dependable

Someone who sees it all for what it actually is 👏

I’ve upset a few simple minded wahgunyah folk on here who just follow around my comments instead of adding anything to get a conversation started 🤣🤣🤣

The ones will be fine they probably won’t set expectations to high , billabong crows have just put up a social media post today in the look for juniors so I mustn’t be too far off the money 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn’t have thought the league would be too keen on only having 1 senior team and no junior football teams. Other clubs get hurt financially it this arises

Im not here to upset anyone. I think all clubs deserve respect for keeping their doors open.

Anyone who calls clubs pathetic/irrelevant etc too me is just a tosser. I have clubs i Dislike where i played most of my footy in Adelaide but at the end of the day its normally volunteers doing the best they can. If they make decisions that are poor then its normally down to volunteers being out of their depth (at least they are there working) and geography plays a part too.

I have recently moved here and I can only sing high praise to the acceptance Culcairn have had towards me. the people are fantastic and we are all working towards building in coming years. Its Swings and roundabouts. Too many people seem to revel in clubs struggling and getting pumped. I see things I would change but that does not mean that im right.

The people at Billabong were great (as were most clubs) and admitted to me that surviving by having their Canberra recruits was not sustainable. Those "imports" in reality should be the cherry on top, not the glue holding it all together. Full points to them as they are fighting, They have the netball side of things in good shape.

Murray is the only club that I feel needs a rebrand to survive. I thought some of the immaturity a few players should in skidding up the showgrounds was a very bad reflection on the club - that being said a strong majority of blokes were great to chat too.

Not going to Lie, I can't even picture him and seen both his games against Cul.

Regardless whether he is decent or not, still big loss for them. Their Facebook page was announcing a big signing to be announced. 4 days later.... crickets.

That's no good. Their new coach needs plenty of good people and players to come with him.
 
Abe Wooden gone from Lockhart and Rumours of 1-2 more big names leaving. Is it money? Is it the new coach? Not good for them regardless considering they have no depth in their twos.

Benji Neal - is a absolute gun . He played for my club be it Broadbesch up here on the Gold Coast and won numerous awards and was named in the QAFL team of the year more then once ..( note the QAFL standard is on par if not better then the O & M ).
He will be a star in the Hume league .
Ethan Reeves the new coach is no slouch either .
If the Magpies can pick up a few more recruits that dont have to be guns but just good senior level players they wil be competitive in 2026.

My cousin Won a Grogan for Apsley a few years ago, He seemed to think the QAFL was above the O&M now. He has never played here but a few of his teammates who had, told him it was.

Really hopeful the league evens up from the bottom to 3rd/4th. Still think Osborne are going to be in a league of their own unless Holbrook have some things lined up

I believe it ws only intended to be 1 game at Culcairn, Family reasons are still the only thing that will prevent it.

The Mudlarks are a very good club and great people. (also some great little breweries in the area) I may have frequented the Smiling Samoyed and Forktree brewing regularly when i lived down that way.

CCl......what is your cousins name that played for Aspley and won the Grogan ?
And yes the QAFL is a little higher standard ,, certainly is quicker .

Ryan Bank-Smith, He is a fly in next year for Centrals-Trinity beach. Family rivalry up there Now as Dad is involved in South Cairns

GWS Giants are about to become odds on favourites for this year's AFL premiership. Rumours are circulating the Osborne coach Myles Aalbers has been flown up to Sydney via private jet and put up in a penthouse suite for a week long winning mindset and leadership forum. I can't confirm how much he is getting paid to run the presentation to the AFL club but im sure it will be money well spent when the Giants lift their first premiership cup. It is also rumoured the he has already issued an open challenge to [PLAYERCARD]Adam Kingsley[/PLAYERCARD] in and arm wrestle, bench press and deadlift to assert his dominace as the alpha coach not only in the hume league but all of Australia.......possibly more to follow on this.

Discussions in the Hume league about shortening the season by two games are concerned.
Two clubs have bought the idea up I'm led to believe in regards to volunteer burnout.

I sympathise with those clubs struggling but when there are strong rumors Lockhart and Billabong wont field juniors its concerning for clubs that will. From memory 1 club this year had their 17s go 4 weeks without a game. hopefully these rumors are just that but I don't like it, Even though I do understand the motion.

Will be interesting but gut feel is I know 3 clubs definitely voting to shorten the season
