When Tom’s lack of physical development is touted as a significant contributor to his non selection - then that makes the view that he needed a bigger body, entirely reasonable and logical.
Had lack of size not been a common explanation for his non selection then you’d be right.

I'd say it's a big factor. But style as well. He did well as an around the ground mid - but not looking like a stoppage mid. So he's got to convince recruiters that he can become an effective outsider who keeps his spacing rather than following the ball like the mids do - or a small forward. He hasn't done that yet. Hopefully he convinces Adelaide of that and gets a shot.

Yes. The two independents whose votes most matter are Bec Thomas and Dean Harriss. Bec in her heart of hearts supports the stadium but has rightfully been scrutinising the financials.

Harriss' big concern was the ability to play cricket under the roof, which has now been resolved.

Neither one of them will want to be the deciding vote that kills the thing, so if you convince one you've convinced both.
