Is Perez an insurance policy or legitimate Worpel replacement?

It would be nice if we could find that gem second Tier player in the lower leagues.

Perez isn't really a mid. Certainly not a contested mid.

If we rookie him I'd imagine insurance for Impey and Amon at half-back. We only really have Bailey MacDonald currently.

Draft combine comparisons:

Hustwaite

Type: Tall, powerful midfielder/forward.

Combine Strengths: Excellent endurance (good 2km time trial for his size), follow-up work at ground level, strong skills.

Greeves

Type - Medium-tall, athletic midfielder.

Combine Strengths: Known for agility, speed (good 20m sprint), and clean hands, making him a versatile player.

Key Differences

Hustwaite = power and endurance
Greeves = more explosive speed and agility
Greaves known for agility and speed?

Some good clips.. Good to see Greeves was able to stand up to Weddle's tackle and dispose cleanly in addition to the top 5 listed

I noticed in Clip 2 that we are trialling Bulldogs handballing....

Morrison not allowed to tackle the Wiz?

What’s the word on Cody Anderson? Any chance of a debut this season ?
I fear that Dalton may leap frog him quite quickly.

Insurance for Hardwick. Perez isn't really a running back

Unfortunately it’s elite sport and as much as we love everyone that dons the Brown and Gold some aren’t going to make it no matter how much we want it. Interesting to look at list balance here is my attempt obviously not an exact science as people can play multiple positions but I feel like it helps see where we are at and that it’s quite balanced:
Lewis Schubert
Chol Ramsden
Gunston Dear Nairn
CMac Dalton
Moore Ginnivan
Watson Hill
Weddle Morrison LeRay
Newk Greeves
Day Mackenzie
Ward Butler Anderson
Nash Maginness Hustwaite
Dambrosio
Meek Reeves Uber-Henry
Impey BMac
Sicily Scrimshaw McCabe
Amon
Hardwick Ryan
Barrass Blanck
Battle Mraz

I feel like butler may play a similar role than him, (eg tackling pressure, defence, one percenters) and is ahead of him
Butler is already in the 22 so of course ahead of him. Cody unfortunately is well down the ranks with our new draftees (to be expected as a 2nd year player) however I feel Greeves and Dalton could push ahead of him with good pre-seasons.

I'd say midfield (inside) rankings would be something like:

Day
Newcombe
Ward
Nash
Butler
Mackenzie
Maginness
Hustwaite
Anderson
Dalton
Greeves.

Only 5-6 of those will be selected at a time I imagine, That's without including Moore, Watson, Macdonald, Ginnivan in midfield rotations.

Can someone fill me in? I thought I'd been paying attention to all the comings and goings on our list, and for some reason I thought the Hawks had some sort of agreement with Elijah Hollands. I notice he's not on our list, what was the story there?
We were just doing due diligence on him, no agreement, no promises.

Training with Carlton again. Will either re-sign or be in the VFL somewhere.
