I like it

she's going to take a bit of time as a tall but I don't think her type of power forward comes around that often, and we can go for another mid next season.

Gets a bit of work on her from the oppo and gets the best defender and some games get frustrated but for her size once she puts strength on will be a hard match up. What she does do is she gets that separation on a lead with her speed, so if we can hit her lace out she will clunk marks and she has a huge kick, she knows where the goals are, and can hit snaps as is really agile for her size, also has high footy IQ and when you see how often she gets up and down the ground with her endurance running this is also right up there, could even see her possibly getting some midfield time in the future.

She looks like a future star , don’t reckon I’ve seen a w player ever mark the footy that good , moves like Charlie curnow , bloody good kick too. Good luck Olivia and welcome to tigerland

Good leap too so if she has a run at it I can see her clunking quite a few.

Have warmed enormously to Olivia.

Good pick Tiges.

Me too especially given that KB is in the tail end of her career.... they referred to her as a generational player as a forward. Mids we can get a bit easier imho...

All the best for Olivia, hopefully she can live up to a number one pick.

Nah. Just want Olivia to play to her potential and help us win games. If she can do that then she’ll be a fine Richmond player.

This draft in particular is a lottery. Literally any player in the top half dozen could end up being the best player in this draft.

The big issue is with how compromised this draft is with Gold Coast getting such a big boost with the academy. Especially when you look how weak the AFLW is as a whole competition. You have Nth Melbourne then quite a large gap for the next dozen teams, then quite a gap when you get to the bottom 4-5 teams.

Absolutely. They’ve definitely won the draft. Will have great team a couple of years down the track.

Scarlett is a no for me, reminds me too much of David Bourke. Wolmarans all day long will fix most of our forward problems.
I told you, but no one takes any notice of one of the many given over the years. tend to believe the dribble coming out of the media instead.

Was a very good year this year for the Suns academy with how deep and strong this cohort is, but isn't stacked next year bar one or two if they come on could be top 20. Next years draft is stronger and not as compromised so don't mind what we did in getting an extra 3rd rounder in for next year.

If you're going to draft a winger with pick one they would want to be the next Robbie Flower, otherwise go the mid or key player, to be fair to Scarlett she is versatile enough to that player tall enough to play back and forward as well but I think we made the right call here.
