Thought there'd be more merch. Got the tour shirt, but also budgeted for signed vinyl/CDs, of which there's none; just shirts and signed tour posters.

Really enjoyed that set. Amazingly tight band; wouldn't say Flo is the best metal drummer in the world, but definitely in the conversation. Absolutely nailed his parts

Good to see James Colorado, got stood up again by Paul Kersey, I'm not metal enough I guess. ;-)
The Cryptopsy guys were nice/sociable (Canadian so no surprises), possible video release mid-next year... fingers crossed. They were tired before the show but happy with the way they performed. Because they use inner ears all I could hear was the drums. I thought there would be more crowd surfing, maybe we're all getting too old for it!
They've got a 40 hour transit back to Montreal so I'm glad to be sleeping in my own bed tonight.

I'm not his biggest fan either but thought he was good live, he works the crowd pretty well. That said you're not going to see Dream Theater for the singing probably, phenomenal musicians, reckon Petrucci is the best guitar player I've ever seen perform.
