The eight arms sales agreements announced Wednesday cover 82 high-mobility artillery rocket systems, or HIMARS, and 420 Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS — similar to what the U.S. had been providing Ukraine during the Biden administration to defend itself from Russia — worth more than $4 billion. They also include 60 self-propelled howitzer systems and related equipment worth more than $4 billion and drones valued at more than $1 billion.

Other sales in the package include military software valued at more than $1 billion, Javelin and TOW missiles worth more than $700 million, helicopter spare parts worth $96 million and refurbishment kits for Harpoon missiles worth $91 million.

They're still investigating what set him off, but thankfully he didn't have an assault rifle. Another random knife attack in Asia.
For some reason he didn't have a proper address registered, a requirement here, and missed his army reserve call up last year so he's had an arrest warrant for him at least 6 months. Looks like he couldn't deal with the situation, stewed and fantasized about it a while, prepped and executed it. At least he didn't use the molotovs on the public.

Name a country that can be trusted to keep a promise for 30 years. Other countries come to mind before China when I think about countries keeping promises.

For one example, Germany finalised their reparations for WW1 & WW2 in 2010.

Germany's also put Israel's interests above everything else, too, through its Staatsräson (reason of state) policy
....which is very noble of them.

At any rate, China's interests have changed from the 90s to recently. The Australian decision on the subs comes to mind as a "he who is without sin cast the first stone" example.
