I understand the departure from ordinal numbers, but you have to accept the age of the kid I'm trying to mimic. At least I wrote 7 without preceding it by 6.

Or is it a wildcard round to confirm the last 2 teams to make the finals ?

I hope it's the latter.

afaik it’s not part of the final series but counts as a final for historical stats

If it's a knockout game, involving the bottom four eligible teams, it's a final, regardless of what idiot term they want to fob on us.

It's pretty much exactly the same at stake as the current elimination final, but it means you can wring more money out of the public, by giving them "what they wanted", filling in the empty 'bye' week...which they themselves created only to satisfy the gambling industry.

I find it hard to fully express how much I hate the campaigners that run our game, and how they dismiss our intelligence...

Sure did, was seen at quite a few suburban matches down at Mooroolbark back in his BH era. He also went down their to volunteer a few sessions. He's well known from the brigade down there who were around 25 years ago

Yeah Mooroolbark boy - was in my younger brothers year level at high school .

I was helping out my home/junior cricket club one game and gave Sam out LB , copped a glare and a 'F off' as departed
Luckily for us he is a way better footballer/coach then batter - was cleaning middle peg halfway up and he tried to swip across the line

I reckon we have crossed paths in another life mate used to live out that neck of the woods years ago.
