Hang on a second. In the days following the murders, Netanyahu (who is a Zionist) was quick to point the finger at Albanese and blame him for 'fuelling antisemitism' and then has the arrogance to tell him how he should run the country. Why wouldn't folk on this thread put their opinions across on what he said. This is a thread about murdered Jewish Australians.
Turning it into a Gaza debate or a meditation on the history of Zionism feels badly misplaced.
When Corbyn (another Labour leader who believes in a two-state solution) was gaining traction in the UK and it looked like a possibility he would get in power, he too, was accused of being antisemitic - which couldn't be further from the truth - and then the UK press done a hit job on him, then succeded by "Sir" Keir, which nothing was levelled at him (a red Tory & part of the establishment ala Tony Blair) when the synagogue shooting in Manchester happened, nor at Trump (that bastion of peace) when the same happened at the Jewish museum in Washington.
It's heartbreaking those folk were murdered at Bondi and that seemed to be the core immediate replies to the thread - you'd want to be a psychopath to be indifferent to it, but your description of the thread does have some truth to it, but the thread has evolved along with comments related to the attack.
