Why do all these rumour threads have such poorly spelled titles?
It's part of the mystique.

"Typing this in hhaste, they are coming for me. Chris Scot is an alien".

Even better if you have a blurry photo of a text message, and the moment someone questions your source you explode in fury and delete your account.

I wonder if the OP of the "Luke Slayers" thread was listening to South of Heaven at the time.

I also use ‘jail’ and ‘program’!!!
For a country that is so patently jingoistic - singing the anthem at every opportunity, promoting the Australian way of life in every TV commercial, sporting telecast and community gathering - some of us are in a desperate hurry for the country to end up as the 53rd state of the USA.

Yeah I’m not sure spelling is an example of that. Certain words just got more traction than others.

If you aren't singing "Dirt and Sea" you are a traitor.

Whether it’s the inundation of Americanisms through the Internet, or certain words seeming to be sensibly ‘spelled’ - there are vast sections of society who will judge people harshly when they follow American illiteracy.

There is no dEE-fenSe.

Ha yeah i’m no fan of many language changes/usages over the journey, but there aren’t ‘vast sections’ of society who can spell or write well to begin with. Hell, I’m educated and spend a huge amount of time writing official bollocks yet totally f’d the adverb rule referenced above. That’s a far greater stain on my nerdism than floating along with common usage by the English Butcher.
