Kids looked good. FWD connection wasn't good. Half the backline was also missing so it's a hard game to judge.

Port seemed like they where at almost full strength where as we are missing a fair few.

Graham, Starc, Ginbey, Hough, Duggan plus Kelly & Hewett. Thats most of the backline

Well realistically we have lost a good spine (past 2 years) and our midfield is a work in progress. Got out worked asa teamand it showed. Good to not get over confident early. I trust we are fit but its the pace of teh game taht we arn't up to yet. Certainly need a few positive games for team confidence.
MODS - I dont intrude but we should ban those potting North and Tigers. We are in no place to critisise.

I have some serious concerns about Maric. Gets a lot of cheap balls but is very soft around a high ball.

I get it's only preseason, blowing my load early blah blah blah but McQualter has shown nothing to convince me he'll be anything other than the coach that accumulates all the top end picks (half of which we trade away) and is turfed before we get good.

Here's hoping. Bit silly to expect every coach we appoint to be a multi premiership winning genius just because we're West Coast. I'd sack him after today if we could but be silly not to give him the rest of the year.

The other thing that I’m sick of is the one-two handball on the wing to a player who, while obviously training for it during the week, is clearly never expecting it. Said player then panics and gets their shit boxed in by the defender running between player A and B.

Almost as certain and the player who is expecting it and runs their guts out to make the play only the be ignored when he's on and the ball carrier getting boxed in moments later and turning it over.

Looked like he was just coasting. Reckon he's the type that would find it hard to go full tilt in a pre season game.
