Not a big deal, but question mark on those goalkickers anyway. Cody Anderson definitely kicked our first goal from a mark about 35m out midway through the 2nd qtr.

Hill then blasted a massive long set shot from outside 50 with the wind for our next. Perez also wound up from long range. Then we missed a couple but Ramma steered one home. Schu got on the end of a good McCabe handball and ran into an open goal for our fifth.

I only saw the first half so not sure on the rest, but Cody defintely got our first.

Box Hill really turned it on for a 10 minute stretch in that 2nd qtr. They must have done the same late in the 4th.

I did see Schubert take a remarkable one handed grab down low after outbodying his opponent on the wing. Literally one handed as it just stuck clean in the palm of his hand. Like he had a giant mitt.

Bodie Ryan did his usual trick of some big fully committed spoils, and gave away a few frees. Mraz I thought made some good steps forward with his defending, but his kicking was appalling.

Morrison was busy but not especially impactful.

Both JUH and Ramma copped some frustrating umpiring when rucking.

Loved Nairn. Has some class. Also put his rake-like body in harms way several times - with a big win of the ball one time was great.

Again, stress it was just the first half I saw.

I thought he was pretty quiet in the first half. Box Hill seemed under the pump and our clearances when we got them were rushed kicks. He had a few of those.

Neglected to mention Perez looked good again. He's ready to go if needed.

Deal has only been done in the last week.

Easy to miss on the emails - be aware if you're going to the KCC on Friday for Box Hill and want to park in the facility you need to pre-purchase a spot for $5.

Why was it scheduled for this time? Don't most of the VFL players have jobs?
